"Nanlalamang na yan shea!" mangha na sabi ni Stacey na hanggang ngayon hindi pa rin makapaniwala sa mga ikinuwento ko.
We were seated in the canteen and I had just told them what happened three days ago. I could barely hide my smile as I watched their reactions unfold.
Proud to say it: I'm Nico's girlfriend.
Sadly, Nico couldn’t be here with us right now thanks to that unfair suspension she was dealing with. But she still made time to drop me off this morning. Just thinking about how she’d held my hand in the car, kissed my forehead before I stepped out… yeah, I was definitely on cloud nine.
"Baliw na yan, oh! Nakangiti na mag-isa!" Sheena teased, snapping me out of my little daydream.
Nag-angat ako ng tingin at napansin kong nakatitig silang lahat sa akin.
"Sabi na eh! May something talaga sa inyo nun pa lang!" Jho added, nudging me playfully.
I mentally rolled my eyes, shaking my head.
"Loi! You’re blushing!" Stacey laughed, and I couldn’t help but laugh along, even though I was blushing harder than ever.
Sheena leaned forward, smirking. “So, spill Ate Loi. Ilang buwan ka nagpaligaw?"
I shrugged, pretending to think about it. "After niya mag-confess, sinagot ko na siya agad!" I answered in my proud voice.
"What? Hindi ka man lang nagpaligaw, Mary Loi Yves?" Jho gasped. “Where’s the thrill in that?”
"Hello! Ano kami, high-school?" mabilis kong rebat sa kanya.
Stacey raised her hand, ready for a high five. “True! Bakit pa magpapaligaw, kung parehas naman na kayong ready for commitment."
I smacked Stacey hand with a smile.
"Pinaparinggan mo ba ako?" nakataas na kilay na tanong ni Jho.
"If the shoe fits." Stacey shrugged her shoulder. "Wear it."

Class ended faster than expected, and as soon as the final bell rang, I eagerly packed my things. I quickly sent a message to Uyab to let her know I was done for the day.
May ngiti akong lumabas ng room, pero agad din iyong nawala nang makita ko ang isang pamilyar na mukha sa hindi kalayuan.
It was Maki.
Umayos pa siya ng tayo at ngumiti ng bahagya nang magtama ang mga mata namin.
"Yves, can we—" he started, but I didn’t wait to hear the rest. I walked right past him, keeping my expression blank.
Ayokong masira ang mood ko sa kaniya.
Once I was far enough away, I let out a deep breath.
Pagdating ko sa parking, my spirits immediately lifted as I spotted someone leaning against my car habang pinaglalaruan ang car key sa kamay niya.
Agad akong naglakad palapit, at tila naman naramdaman niya ang presensya ko dahil nag-angat siya ng tingin at umayos ng tayo.
The moment I was close enough, niyakap ko siya agad. Saglit siyang napatigil, pero mabilis din siyang nakabawi at niyakap ako pabalik, wrapping her arms around me securely.
“What's wrong? Did something happen?” tanong niya na may halong pag-aalala sa boses niya.
Gosh, I really love her.
I shook my head, habang nakasiksik sa mga bisig niya. “Nope. Just missed my girlfriend, that’s all.”
She chuckled. “I just dropped you off a few hours ago, right?”
