“Drink 3 shots or dare to a staring contest with the person beside you for 10 seconds.” Shawn read aloud from the card he picked.
Since Taneo was sitting right next to him, they both turned to face each other, locking eyes as they prepared for the challenge. Habang umaandar ang sampung segundo, nakatitig lang kami sa kanilang dalawa.
As the timer hit ten, Taneo blinked, letting out a chuckle while Shawn casually leaned back in his chair. “Ang dali.” he remarked with a smirk.
Next, it was Taneo’s turn. Hinila niya ang isang card mula sa deck at binasa ito nang mabilis. "Drink 2 shots or dare to do 10 push-ups."
Without hesitation Taneo stood up, rolled his shoulders and dropped to the floor, effortlessly doing 10 push-ups. By the time he finished, beads of sweat were visible on his forehead. Pabirong pinunasan pa ni Shawn ang pawis ni Taneo kaya nagtawanan kami.
Jho was next. She pulled a card. "Take 3 shots or dare to send a selfie right now to someone in your top contacts."
"Ang dali naman nyan!" biro ni Taneo.
Jho pulled out her phone, quickly snapping a selfie. She showed everyone as she sent it to one of her contacts named “Princess” hindi na kami nagulat na si Stacey ang nasa top contacts niya.
Then came Ate Aiah’s turn. She shuffled the cards slowly bago siya kumuha.
She scanned the words, her eyebrows lifting as she read it aloud. "Take 4 shots or dare to blow a kiss to someone who’s the most handsome in the room."
A collective “Ooooh!” echoed across the room, everyone sitting up a little straighter.
“Ehem.” Mikhs cleared her throat loudly, leaning back in her chair.
Pero umikot ang mata ni Ate Aiah. "Ang sabi dito handsome, hindi palong ng manok."
"What's palong?" bulong na tanong ni Mikhs kay Gwen pero tawa lang ang nakuha niyang sagot.
Tumingin si Ate Aiah sa direksyon nila Taneo at Shawn, pero umiling lang siya, sabay umiwas ng tingin kay Mikhs, na ngayon ay nakasimangot na.
Her eyes shifted, locking onto Uyab, who was sitting just a few seats away.
Ay may matutulog nang maagap, ako yun!
There was a moment of silence, and my pulse quickened.
I could feel the heat rising to my face as Ate Aiah smiled.
“Can you move, Nico?” she asked casually, gesturing for Uyab to make space.
But in a quick motion, Ate Aiah leaned forward, dramatically blowing a kiss in Gwen’s direction instead.
A wave of relief washed over me.
"Your turn Loi." Mikhs said, snapping me out of my thoughts.
