Odette
"Okay you have to promise not to tell Trey," Natalie said.
I laughed. "I promise."
She sighed with relief. "Good, because he'll kill me."
I laughed again. "I highly doubt that." He was her mate after all. "Plus won't he see his card statement?"
"Not if I throw it out first," she muttered.
Natalie was a bigger shopper than I was. Though I purposefully didn't buy much. I wanted to buy things with my money. I appreciated Silas's gesture and did use his card but I felt bad each time. I never liked spending other people's money.
Natalie, however, bought a few new bags with Trey's card. Apparently he was the same way with her but thought some of the things she bought were ridiculously priced. I somewhat understood him when the bag she bought yesterday could have paid someone's rent. She then hid it in their closet, with my help, in attempts to make it blend in with the others she had.
I smiled in her direction and even she cracked a small one.
My eyes scanned the crowd for Silas's figure. I purposefully looked just above most peoples heads. Silas had to be 6'5 so I expected to see him that way more than anything else.
This time waiting in the airport entrance I was excited.
I had spent the last few days enjoying my time with Natalie but I was ready to be with Silas again. I loved having girl time with her and the phone calls and text with him made my worries boil down to almost none.
I knew some about what happened but he promised to fill me in with more detail when he came back.
I spotted his dark hair just above some of the other people's heads. He had part of it pulled away from his face while the rest hung by his neck. He had on jeans, a dark tee shirt, and a jacket with his bag thrown over his shoulder.
I noticed people moving out of his way, eyeing his build with wide eyes. The reaction was humous to me. He was a large teddy bear.
His green eyes didn't have to scan the entrance for long as they landed on me.
My eyes ran over his form quickly looking for injuries. I couldn't spot any.
I grinned as he smiled widely, walking straight up to me and pulling me to his chest. Without pausing he leaned down and kissed me. I stretched up and threw my arms around his neck. My entire body felt like a live wire, buzzing with energy.
He kissed me for a moment then pulled back to press a kiss to my cheek. His arm wrapped around me to keep me secure to him. "I missed you angel," he whispered in my ear.
I squeezed my arms tighter. "I missed you too." I leaned away to see his face. "Let's go home yeah?"
He leaned down and kissed me again. "That sounds good," he hummed.
We separated enough so that we could walk, him keeping one arm around me.
I glanced over to Natalie to see her with Trey and figured it was okay to leave without saying anything.
"They'll probably be out in a second," Silas said when he caught my eye. We still started walking out.
I shrugged. "Maybe but we don't have to wait." I pulled his keys out of my pocket as his truck came into view. "I drove it here this morning, following Natalie. I figured it would be nice to go straight home." I glanced up. "I hope you don't mind."
He smiled. "No I don't. What's mine is yours. I appreciate it actually," he said as he tossed his back into the bed. "But we'll still have to go to the pack house to get your things."
