Mirror's Deceit

I stand before the mirror's gaze,
A stranger's face I see,
Reflections warped in fleeting haze,
A haunting parody.

The glass reveals a figure lost,
With shadows drawn too tight,
Each line a battle, every cost,
A canvas void of light.

Eyes that once held vibrant dreams,
Now clouded, dim, and small,
Where hope once danced in sunlight beams,
Now silence fills the hall.

I trace the curves of doubt and fear,
A portrait filled with flaws,
Yet in my heart, I hold so dear
The beauty that was lost.

The mirror whispers lies to me,
With every flaw exposed,
It weaves a tale of misery,
A truth that's been composed.

But deep inside, a voice remains,
A flicker, soft and true,
It calls beyond the glassy chains,
To show me what I knew.

"Your worth is not the image here,
Nor bound by this deceit,
Within you lies a light so clear,
A rhythm, strong and sweet."

So I'll shatter these illusions,
Break free from self-doubt's chains,
To find the strength in all my bruises,
Embrace the joy in pains.

For mirrors lie, they do not see
The heart that beats inside,
The spirit wild and ever free,
The soul that will not hide.

I'll learn to love the flaws I bear,
To cherish every scar,
For in this journey, I'll declare,
I am my own bright star.

So let the mirror try to weave
Its web of dark despair,
I'll rise above, and I believe
In beauty found with care.
