The Weight of Shadows
In the hush of twilight, when daylight starts to fade,
The shadows creep closer, their haunting dance displayed.
They linger like whispers, dark figures at my heels,
Clinging to my spirit, the weight of what conceals. They drape upon my shoulders, a heavy, tattered cloak,
Woven from my worries, each thread a silent yoke.
With every step I take, they pull me to the ground,
These specters of my sorrow, in silence they surround. They murmur doubts and fears, echoing in the night,
A symphony of burdens, obscuring all the light.
In corners of my mind, they twist and intertwine,
A web of unspoken grief, their presence so malign. In moments of stillness, I feel their breath draw near,
A chilling kind of comfort, born from a deeper fear.
They tell me tales of failure, of paths I should have walked,
And in their solemn chorus, my self-worth feels locked.Yet as the stars awaken, in the canvas of the dark,
A flicker of resilience ignites within the spark.
I gather strength from shadows, these burdens I now know,
For even in their weight, I find the will to grow.I'll tread through this valley, with shadows at my side,
A dance of dark and light, my heart open wide.
For though they cling like anchors, I'll rise above their pull,
Transforming weight to wisdom, as I learn to be whole. So let them come in whispers, let them cling for a while,
I'll face the weight of shadows, and reclaim my smile.
For in the depth of darkness, I'll find a way to soar,
A testament to strength, that shadows can't ignore.
