Running Toward the Fire
When the flames leap high and the shadows grow long,
A crackle of chaos sings a furious song.
While others retreat, with fear in their eyes,
Firefighters stand firm, as the smoke starts to rise.In the heart of the inferno, where danger is born,
They lace up their boots, as the world feels torn.
With courage as armor, they charge through the heat,
Driven by duty, they refuse to retreat. Each step is a promise, each breath a decree,
To save the forgotten, to fight for the free.
The flames may be raging, the darkness may call,
Yet they run toward the fire, where others would fall. For fire is a beast, a force that consumes,
But in its wild dance, a bravery blooms.
With axes and hoses, they push through the blaze,
A testament to hope in the flickering haze. They see not just danger but lives to protect,
The bonds of humanity, a vow to connect.
In the heat of the moment, they stand side by side,
As brothers and sisters, they walk with pride.Though danger surrounds them and chaos prevails,
They embrace the unknown where true courage sails.
For every flame flickers with stories untold,
Of lives they have saved and the hearts they uphold. So here's to the brave who run toward the fire,
With hearts forged in courage and spirits that inspire.
For when the world falters, when darkness conspired,
They stand as the guardians, running toward the fire.
