Sweater Weather
As the days grow short and the air turns crisp,
A gentle chill whispers, a sweet autumn kiss.
From closets we gather our sweaters so warm,
Embracing the coziness, sheltered from harm.Soft wool and cotton, wrapped snugly around,
In hues of deep burgundy, golds, and browns,
With each sip of cider, the warmth fills the soul,
As laughter and stories in soft light unroll. The crackling of fires dances high in the night,
While outside the leaves swirl, a colorful flight.
We curl up together, a blanket of peace,
In this sweater weather, our worries release. With mugs full of cocoa, whipped cream piled high,
We watch as the clouds drift and stars fill the sky.
In the quiet of evenings, the world feels just right,
As we find comfort in each other's delight. So here's to the seasons that beckon us near,
To the sweaters that hug us, the warmth we hold dear.
In the chill of the air, let our hearts intertwine,
For in this sweet weather, you're forever mine.
