The Color of Gray
The world is painted in shades of gray,
Muted skies where light won't stay.
The colors I knew have faded away,
Replaced by clouds that never sway.Once, the sun burned gold and bright,
Now it's swallowed by endless night.
The vibrant hues of life's sweet grace,
Have slipped into a shadowed space.Gray wraps around me like a veil,
A heaviness in every exhale.
The flowers bloom, but not for me,
Their colors lost in what I see.The laughter rings, but it feels far,
A distant echo, a fading star.
The joy that once lit up the day,
Is drowned beneath this endless gray. But somewhere, deep, a spark remains,
A hope that breaks through unseen chains.
And though the gray may steal my sight,
I'll keep searching for a flicker of light.
