Bruises No One Sees
They linger beneath the surface,
In places where no light can shine,
These bruises, invisible to the eye,
Yet throb like a wound—deep and unkind. They bear no color, no hue to display,
Yet their weight is a burden, heavy as stone,
A tapestry woven of silence and shame,
In a body that feels like it's no longer my own.In crowded rooms, I wear my smile,
A mask that conceals the pain I can't show,
But inside, I'm fighting an unyielding war,
With echoes of whispers that haunt me below. Each thought, a phantom that shadows my mind,
Memories flash like lightning, sharp and cold,
I navigate through this darkness alone,
While the world keeps on spinning, oblivious, bold.I stumble through moments that should feel like light,
But shadows of trauma creep back in the night.
Their grip is relentless, their presence a chain,
Binding me tightly in cycles of pain.No one can see the bruises I bear,
The scars that are hidden beneath layers of skin,
Yet they ache with a fierceness that no one can grasp,
A reminder of battles that others can't win. With every laugh shared and every tear shed,
I carry these weights that feel never-ending,
I long for a touch that won't leave me in fright,
For a world that embraces, not one that's pretending. But perhaps there's a power in stories untold,
In acknowledging wounds that others can't see,
For healing begins when we dare to speak out,
To share what's been buried, to finally be free.So I'll weave these words like a thread through the pain,
Transforming the echoes into something reclaimed,
For though the bruises may linger, unseen by the eye,
They are part of my journey, a testament to try.I'll rise through the shadows, I'll forge a new way,
With courage ignited, I'll face each new day,
For the bruises I carry, though hidden from view,
Are reminders of strength, of what I've been through.
