AN: I wrote this and a few other situations a while ago just to rant about what was actually going on in my friend group when I was in high school. Let's just say that I hung out with a... interesting group of people.
There's just a little bit of info from the start of it. The main drama will be in two upcoming chapters.
Yes, these characters are based off of real people. No, I am not friends with half of them anymore.
It's astonishing to think that I've been part of the Port Mafia for more than a year. What's even more surprising is that I'm already in my second year of high school. My affection for Dazai has intensified greatly during these past twelve months. It's a mystery to me how he hasn't noticed yet.
Dazai and I are currently relaxing in my apartment after completing our last mission. I mentioned that I had baked a cake last night out of boredom, and he decided to invite himself over to try it. Not that I minded.
"This is really good!" Dazai beamed, his mouth filled with (f/f) cake.
"Thanks, I actually frosted it this morning." I grinned.
"Is that so?"
"Yeah." I sat next to him awkwardly, taking a bite of the cake.
"You've been acting off lately," the brunette confronted me. "Is everything okay?"
I was taken aback by his question. Since when does he ask about my life outside of the Mafia? Well, I sometimes told him about things that happened in school, but not once has he asked me about it. "No, I'm fine. It's just a bit of trouble in my friend group again. Kaho's talking to Misato."
"Wait, I thought you were friends with both of them?"
"Misato's boyfriend Kai was being really weird and making Aurelia feel uncomfortable, and she was just brushing it off like nothing happened. It felt like she was choosing her boyfriend, who I introduced her to, over her own friends," I explained. "Her and Kaho were getting into a bunch of arguments at the end of last school year too, so that's why we all ended things with Misato before summer started."
"You knew him longer than her?"
"Yeah, I became friends with Kai since we shared a few classes, and I tutored him." I sighed, my (e/c) eyes laying on my dish. "She never really had a problem with me, but she distanced herself anyway since our friend group is so tightly knit. Aiko was lucky enough to avoid the entire argument though. I just don't understand why she would talk to Kaho of all people. We never had any problems, so why wouldn't she come to me?"
The boy with bandages placed his hand on my back, making me blush. "Maybe it's for the best that you stay away from people like that."
"You're right."
Suddenly, he drew me into a side embrace. "I would never choose anyone over you, (Y/n). You're too important to me."
His deep, dark eyes peered into my soul as I met his intense gaze. "I am?"
"Of course you are." He used his fingers to tilt my chin upwards, so I wouldn't be able to look away from him.
He wasted no time pressing his lips onto mine, before grabbing onto my waist and pulling me to sit on top of him. My heart raced. I finally got what I wanted? Dazai actually likes me?
After a few minutes, he pulled away, allowing both of us to catch our breaths.
His lips curled upwards into a smirk, as he closed his eyes and held my face in his bandaged hands. "Did you really think I didn't notice all this time?"
"You did?" My face turned a deeper shade of crimson. "I thought I was being obvious, but at the same time I thought you didn't have a clue."
"You actually weren't being obvious." Dazai snaked his hand down my back, pulling me closer to his chest. He then leaned down for another kiss, but stopped midway, hovering over my lips. "I only found out after I overheard one of you and Bones' conversations."
With cheeks flushed, I averted my gaze in a moment of embarrassment. How did I not realize he was there? Grasping my chin again, he compelled me to look at him once more.
"Looks like you're mine now, (Y/n)."
-Two Weeks Later-
It was official, Daz- or Osamu and I were now a thing. Boyfriend and girlfriend. My dreams had come true... or so I had thought. Being in a relationship wasn't what I thought it would be, but I still powered through it.
Before we got together, I never heard Osamu get angry at me, but now it seemed like an everyday occurrence. The cycle repeated. He'd be angry at something, sternly yell at me for a bit, then hold me in his arms saying that it wasn't directed at me.
I talked to Katsumi on the phone after everything, and she told me that Osamu was just using me for my body. Sure, things happened on the first night we were together, but we both agreed to it. He's not using my emotions against me, he wouldn't!
On my day off, I chose to make some pasta for dinner. It wasn't fancy, but who can say no to spaghetti? As I waited for the water to boil, I checked the time. 10:34? He should be home by now.
I opened my phone and sent him a text.
***
(Y/n):
When are you coming home?
Osamu:
Sorry
I'm running late
Akutagawa held up the mission
I'll be home in 10 minutes
(Y/n):
Ok
I'll see you when you get back
Osamu:
See ya then <3

Osamu didn't live with me, but he did come over a lot, so we could spend some time together.
He honored his promise, arriving ten minutes following his last text message.
"Miss me?" He smirked, leaning down and pressing his soft lips against my own.
I wrapped my arms around him, enjoying his warmth. "Of course I did."
"I'm almost ready to give up on that kid." Removing his coat, he aggravatedly threw it on the back of my couch. Osamu sighed, patting my head and wrapping his other arm around my waist. "He doesn't listen and is fucking up the missions that I take him on. After all the times I'd disciplined him, he never learned!"
Not again. I took a step back, attempting to distance myself from the angry male. His emotionless eyes quickly locked onto mine, before his grip on my waist tightened as he closed the gap between our bodies. My feet were back where they originally were when I came to greet my boyfriend.
As if he were flipping some kind of switch, Osamu's sinister expression turned into a caring one instantaneously.
He held my face in his hand, gently rubbing my cheek with his thumb. "Sorry, I didn't mean to scare you." Releasing my cheek, he grabbed my hand a bit harshly before leading me to the kitchen. "Come on, dinner's waiting."
