Now that I think about it, I haven't been called to Mori's office alone ever since Osamu and I were promoted.

I gently knocked on the old wooden door, before a voice instructed me to enter.

As per usual, I bowed my head in respect. "You asked for me, Mori?"

"Hello, (Y/n)," Mori gave his signature creepy smile. Elise sat on the ground, scribbling on blank sheets of paper with a red crayon. "I actually wanted to ask a favor."

"A favor?" I picked my head up, looking at the taller man in confusion. "So, this isn't a mission."

"Not exactly." Mori brushed a piece of his hair out of his eye. "I won't bore you with the details, but long story short, I was invited to a dinner by an organization we've worked alongside before. They're under the assumption that you're my daughter, and they want their son to marry you so our organizations will be combined."

Mori wants to marry me off to some guy?!

"Yeah, no way in hell I'm doing that!"

"Let me finish." Oh, and how does he think that he's going to convince me to marry a stranger. I'm aware that Mori doesn't know about Osamu and me, but I'm not too sure if it's a good idea to bring that up now. "I don't particularly like this organization, so an arranged marriage would not be beneficial to me. That brings me to the favor I need from you." The Boss rested his head on his hand, his darkened eyes peering at me. "I need you to come to that dinner with me... and your fiancé."

"Fiancé?" Once again, I gave Mori a confused look. "I don't have a-"

"Really Mori? I was in the middle of an interrogation. What could possibly be so important that you needed to call me here." Osamu walked through the doors, before taking his place beside me, in front of the Boss' chair. "(Y/n)? What are you doing here?"

I shrugged my shoulders, not having a certain answer. "I think I'm being set up in an arranged marriage."

A small gasp left my husband's lips as his attention darted to Mori. "I'm not letting you do this to my second-in-command, Mori. Her focus should be on the Port Mafia, not a husband." Out of my peripheral vision, I noticed Osamu's angry glare and clenched fists. "If you do go through with this, I will-"

"Now, there's no reason to say such things, Dazai," Mori interrupted. "I just need the two of you to pretend you're engaged for a night. That's all."

My husband and I exchanged shocked glances. This is quite the coincidence.

"You said that the organization thought that I was your daughter, which explains why I was chosen," I started. "Not that I'm opposed to your decision, but why Dazai?"

"Well, I thought it was the most obvious choice." The dark-haired man smiled, as if he were hiding something. If Osamu had told him, then I know he wouldn't have gotten defensive when he heard Mori saying that I had a fiancé. "The two of you always work together on missions and have the most history. Plus, it would make sense for my daughter to marry one of my executives."

"Why didn't you say that in the first place?!" The brunette grinned, as he placed a hand on my waist, pulling me into his side. "Dinner with my lovely fiancé sounds wonderful! Doesn't it, dear?"

"Yes... just great."

-Outside of the Furukawa Manor-

This seems unfair. Why was I the only one who had to get dressed up?! Osamu and Mori were able to wear their normal work clothes, while I was stuck wearing a black, modest, semi-formal dress. I mean it's cute and all, but that's beside the point.
