(Season 1, Episode 5)
It was around 1:00 PM, so I determined it was time for a well-deserved lunch break. A peaceful time for me, myself, and I... and Osamu.
"I have finally found a reason to live!" The brunette excitedly jumped over to me, caressing my hand. "Did I say to live? No, I have found the reason I'm still alive. That's right, I lived to this day, so I could commit double suicide together with you. Ah, Belladonna, at last."
"Yeah, no way in hell I'm doing that!" I exhaled sharply, wrenching my hands free from his grip. My voice dropped to a whisper, inaudible even to him. "Why can't I be your reason to live?"
Overwhelmed by a blend of denial, anger, and sadness, I departed from the cafe, wandering aimlessly. As I walked away, the brunette's voice reached out to me, but I chose to disregard it.

Not even three minutes later, I heard the sound of gunfire. I WASN'T EVEN GONE FIVE MINUTES!
As I hurried back to the Agency, I discovered that the situation had already been resolved. The alley beside our building was littered with unconscious men. The Black Lizard? I guess they wanted to snatch Atsushi. Shrugging my shoulders, I walked in the opposite direction. It's either me or Kunikida's turn to give out apology gifts, so I'm gonna do the smart thing and walk away.

A few hours passed with no phone calls. Phew, I guess I'm off the- damn it. My phone started vibrating, probably a call from Kunikida.
	"Hello?"
"Where the hell are you and Dazai?" He surprisingly asked in a calm tone.
"I'm on A Street, coming back from a bakery," I truthfully answered. "I don't know about Dazai though. Why?"
"Let's consider this your punishment for not helping with the raid," he proposed. "I want you to join Ranpo and Atsushi at a murder scene. They're on D Street."
"Alright, I'll go." Wow, he's letting me off easy.
"Oh, and if you see that suicidal maniac, tell him that I'll deal with him when he comes back."
	"Gotcha."
-On D Street-
I arrived in just a few minutes, yet the two men had already gotten there before me. On a tarp lay a woman with light brown hair. Her clothes and hair were drenched, and it was quite hard to not notice the three bullet wounds on her chest. She must've been shot and discarded into the river.
Ranpo took his hat off as I approached the group. "The victim's a lady."
"Yes sir, her body was found floating in the river early this morning." The cop beside the body explained.
"She was shot three times in the chest," the detective in charge continued. "We don't know when or where she was killed. We haven't found the bullets either."
"Any suspects?" The black-haired man inquired.
"Not yet," the older man frustratedly answered. "As far as anyone at the office knew she wasn't in a relationship, so I doubt it was a jealous lover."
I wouldn't be so sure about her not having a lover. Especially because of that expensive European watch that she's wearing. I was never into those kinds of things, but my time with the Port Mafia taught me what I needed to know about expensive materials used in jewelry. Yet again, she could've bought it herself, but I wouldn't be too sure especially with just her salary.
