-Three Months Later-
A few weeks ago, an ability user by the name of Kanashii Okubo killed a high-ranking informant in the Mafia and went on the run. His ability, The Eyes of the Dragon, allows him to see through objects. He's been able to evade the Port Mafia's military for this long, which is why Bones and I were sent in to take him out.
"This guy is so fucking annoying." Bones shrugged, as she opened her Kinder Egg. "Can't he just turn himself in already. He's not gonna get out of this alive."
"I wish it was that easy." I sighed, sitting next to her on top of a luxurious black Cadillac. "It's just a waiting game now.
The two of us were at Okubo's residence. On top of the car was me and my best friend. Inside of the black vehicle were Okubo's parents, trapped by the doors that were rigged with explosives. One wrong move and everyone would die. Well, me and Bones would survive, since she can shield us with her shadows. There's no more running away now.
The red and white hair girl screamed. "OH MY GOD!"
	"What?! What's wrong?!"
	"I GOT A CAR!"
In her hand was a small yellow and gray toy truck that she got from her snack. Making car sounds with her voice, she played with it. The small plastic wheels smoothly rode on the car and on me.
"My arm is not a road," I chuckled.
I don't think that Okubo's parents find this too funny. From the outside of the passenger window, I saw the mother and father trembling and weeping with fear.
"Don't worry," I sadistically smiled. "You won't have to die if your son does what's right."
"You monster!" His mother cried. "You won't lay a hand on my son."
"You'd give your own life for him?" People do that?
"Of course I would! That's what good parents do!"
My smile dropped momentarily before coming back. "Can't say I had the experience."
Although I did know my parents up until the age of eleven, I never really bonded with them. It was always off to work with both of them; one to a hospital and another to a pediatrics office. They claimed that they enjoyed helping others, so why wasn't I included? I can't believe I'm saying this, but Mori did a better job of parenting than my actual parents did.
"Let them go!" The man of the hour shouted, standing directly in front of the car.
	"Then die."
The shadow from the car snaked up, engulfing the boy. He didn't even try to resist.
"Aren't you gonna fight back?" Bones raised her brow.
"No, I won't let my parents die for my choices." He closed his eyes after giving a soft smile to his parents. "I'm sorry mom, dad. I won't let them harm you."
"Kanashii, no!" Both parents started sobbing even more loudly.
No one is worth risking your life over. Especially if you're innocent.
"Any last words?" I held my pistol up against the traitor's forehead.
"Go to hell, bitch! Both of you!"
*Bang* The shot was made from close range, which made quite a mess. As Okubo's body went limp, his brains leaked onto the ground.
	"Ew, brain slushie," Bones sneered.
"My son! No!" The mother cried.
"You wanna take care of them?" I asked Bones.
"Sure!" She sunk into the corpse's shadow, reappearing in the dark spot next to one of the Cadillac's tires. "Here, let me get that for you." As she opened the car door, the beeping started. "Oops."
The car bursted into flames just after Bones managed to sink into a shadow. The fire crackled, burning a bright orange. The smell of burnt flesh and hair seared the hair off my nostrils. If it were up to me, I would've let the parents live, but Bones and I know better than to defy Mori.

Barely two minutes had passed since the job was completed when two Mafia vehicles arrived. Seven soldiers and Osamu emerged from them. I approached the boy with bandages, who extended his arms, indicating a desire for an embrace. Meanwhile, Bones cast a disdainful glance in his direction. She doesn't think too highly of him anymore, especially after the things I told her about. I swear, he's not a manipulative person... to me at least!
He whispered in my ear, as he held me tightly. "That was fast."
"He didn't even put up a fight," I summarized. "All he said was that he would die for his parents."
Releasing his grip on me, he approached one of his men. "Transport the traitor's body to the morgue. Leave no evidence of his death."
"Yes sir." A man started to remove a white bag while another assisted in placing Okubo's body inside it.
Osamu simply watched, ensuring that nothing was left behind for the police to discover. After all, we weren't exactly a legal organization.
"Osamu?" I asked out of the blue. "Would you die for me?"
Turning around, he looked at me with widened eyes. "Where is this coming from?"
"I don't know." I looked away, kicking the sand. "I guess I still don't fully understand how love works."
Spinning around on his heels, Osamu towered over me, grabbing my chin. "Of course I would die for you. It's because I love you, my dear (Y/n)."
