I had been feeling Audrey's aura come from the mountain. The war was over and the elder had started giving me instructions on creating another spell that would bring Audrey back. "since we have a sample of her aura provided..." "Hey! why do you keep looking at the mountain." He huffs I turn back to the elder who is showing me the spell we need to execute to get Audrey back. "I had to reseal the soul scales after my stupid son pulled such a stupid stunt!" he huffs. Normally he'd be telling me about the seals after a war but it seems what happened with Audrey caused the seals to become weak. I turn back to the mountain feeling Audrey's arua flare violently. This month I'd been willing to stand this old man's obnoxious condescension just to keep an eye on the mountain. Rather be near Audrey's aura in case she came back.
I fall on my knees as I watch these men get closer. I've killed about fifteen of them already but they keep coming. I try to lift my right arm but it refuses to move after taking another bullet to the bone. I cover the bleeding gunshot in my abdomen struggling to breathe from the wound on my chest. 'Kogen' I drag in the air as my blood fills my lunges. I throw out the blood that has nowhere to run. 'I am trying.' I feel so angry that all of this research got me nowhere near finding a way home. I watch a man walk closer to me with his gun pointed. 'fucking snakes.' I cough up more blood. I clench my teeth as I hear Dad struggling to breathe as well. 'I'm out of bullets...' He speaks but I don't care to understand. "You can go to fucking hell!" I huff forcing my bleeding leg to move. I use my gun to push his gun away from me. I gasp as he hits my left shoulder before shooting off into the air. I push him to the ground slamming the butt of my gun on his wrist. This forced him to let go of the gun and left me a chance to slam the butt of my gun into his face. Breathing is becoming hell as blood competes with air. "Over here! One is alive!" I groan picking up this guy's gun knowing he was not going anywhere. I sit on his stomach and fire at the five me coming my way. I flare my aura despite the lack of aura in this world I pushed mine to create a wall to protect me. I watch these men fall to their knees leaving behind their guns. I feel my body refuse to move with my diminishing aura and the amount of blood I've lost. The world is starting to fade from my sight. 'No, I want to see Kogen, I want to tell the story of this place.' I push away the pain getting back onto my feet. I drop my empty gun and gather the guns of the dead. I step into the path seeing a large number of them getting past the main army. 'Ah, I really don't want to die.' I lift the first gun "This is not your place to trample and cover in your filthy blood." I huff in the Naga language. I watch the men slow their approach. I fire away at them 'Thats right, I still need to go home. I need to smoother Kogen in kisses. there are so many cuddles to be had.' I reminded myself why I had been doing this. 'I need to go back, I have so much to live for.' I feel my body grow numb as I hold my spot my aura fades away leaving me wide open. 'Don't give in to fear!' I recall Kogen telling me before. I throw the empty gun at the nearest guy ducking under his gun. I grab another gun before pressing it to the bottom of his chin. I let the gun fire quickly shooting the next guy. 'no way no way am I going to die.' I refused. 'If I die here, I will be reborn without my memories.' I remind myself as I fire away at the men. 'There are so many!' I frown pushing my body to keep moving. "Audrey!" I shudder as Kogen dashes past me pushing me behind him. He flares his Aura creating a wall to protect against the bullets. I fall back 'How?' I look up at his mother who is quick to start treatment. I shake my head "M...my dad! he got hit with a shrapnel bomb!" I shout not worried for myself. She looks at me "No! You are bleeding out!" she shouts. I shake my head "I'm fine! Dad stopped breathing a second ago!" I shout having not heard him breathe for a while now. She nods "Take her away from the line of fire!" she orders. I gasp as I'm lifted off the ground 'No wait.' I don't want to go. I want to see Kogen fight with him. I cough up some more blood and my body starts to convulse. 'fuck! fuck!fuck!' My ears became deaf to what the men were shouting at me. 'I can't die!' I grab the man's arm 'I can't die!' I feel panic push past the anger I felt. 'I don't want to die!' I feel like I am being dragged out of my body. 'No! no! no! not after I finally get to see Kogen!' I try to scream and beg. 'Ancestor! I don't want to die!' I beg the only person that might hear me. 'I do not wish for that either little one,' I shudder seeing a Nordic man smile at me. 'I never thought I'd finally met the little soul that poked me from my slumber.' He chuckles. The world fades from my sight leaving me in a dark void. I see the Nordic man standing between two children. 'Who?' I look at the man. 'Little one, please hold on, don't die in this cave of mine.' He walks over to me cupping my cheeks. 'I am amazed that your soul has always found me despite the era.' He chuckles as the children start dancing around me. 'So as a thank you for always being at my side. I will fuse the rest of my aura into my fang to become your blade, and your memories I shall return.' He smiles at me before bumping his forehead into mine. 'Thank you for always listening to my sins.' He whispers as his aura fades. I am suddenly dragged into memories I had forgotten. 'Papa! I want to be a good mother when I grow up!' I was so bubbly showing him a picture of how my house would look. 'Hm? Is that so? how many children do you want?' He asked such a serious question to a silly fifteen-year-old. 'I want three! Maybe two girls and a boy!' I told him proudly. 'hm! that's good! I will be a good grandpa then!' He joked. 'Audrey! we need to get the kitchen set up!' my mother shouted. I turn to a beautiful woman with thick wavy black hair and soft brown eyes. 'Mom.' I sob reaching out to her. 'You know you'll need to learn how to take care of the household if you want to be a mother and wife!' She lectured me. 'Audrey! Audrey! sweety what's wrong!?' The mood changes quickly as I start coughing up blood. The doctors quickly put me on bed rest and the disease is quick to eat away at my life. 'T... tuberculosis!?' My dad sounds heartbroken at the diagnosis. 'don't cry, daddy.' I assured him 'I will see you again once I get better!' I did not know how bad this was then. I died in a quarantined location alone as Dad watched me from a window. 'Dad my body hurts... I can't breathe well.' I felt so lonely. 'Dad I want to play again, I want to eat sweets and set the table with momma.' I felt so scared. I was quickly thrust into my next life born a boy. 'Aiden! how silly you are!' my mother in this life is a beautiful blond lady with soul-piercing blue eyes. 'Come on you know you're big enough to go spearfishing!' Dad egged me into jumping into the deep blue waters of the ocean. 'no I won't be able to breathe again.' I refused. My father seemed to realize I was back. He quickly came back into the boat and hugged me tightly. 'Aiden it's alright buddy, here we are using scuba tanks.' He shows me I can breathe still despite being underwater. I agreed and boy was that the best time of my life. The scene changed quickly to the shores of Germany. I felt terrified but Dad assured me he was with me the entire way. I made it onto the shore but not to a safe zone. 'Audrey! Aiden!' He mixed up our names. My last memories are of Dad dragging me to a safe zone to get treated but my helmet did not hold up against a bullet. 'Aiden! stay with me!' He shouts 'Aiden don't leave me again!' He pleaded.
