I feel like a walking ball of water at the end of the 31 weeks. I sit in Theo's Library feeling like I am about to keel over from how tired I feel. 'Ugh! I never thought carrying twins would be this straining.' I rest my head on the table just wanting to get some shut eye. "Audrey, are you alright?" Kogen walks up with more books. I sigh lifting my head from the table. "I want some dulce de letche," I whine the latest craving being something I've not seen in this world. He chuckles "I'll get you some sweets on our way home." and sets the books down. I sigh watching him pull up the first book. 'He learned the old language like it was nothing.' I feel prideful knowing my husband was so smart. 'It's been two months since Roy and the others came here with bad news.' I sigh resting my head on the table again. 'I heard Alma gave birth to her twins without any problems.' I look at the wall of books feeling so tired. 'Thankfully Roy has been looking after the reports for Kogen, and Blake has found his place running the troop's training. I heard from Dad that Yuri managed to create the anchor and that they found what they needed with the aid of the army back there.' I frown 'All that is missing is the rest of the instructions.' I look at the books We've already read through "I wish somebody knew where the rest of it was." I grumble. Kogen chuckles "Already tired?" He asks. I sigh "It's odd to me that Theo did not leave the instructions together, I mean what is the point of separating them?" I ask feeling antsy. I sigh slowly getting up I hold my stomach feeling it was too heavy if I did not support it. I start waddling out of the sitting area "Audrey!" Kogen follows after me being the helicopter husband that he was. I feel frustrated with how useless my search has been proving. I drag my finger across the spines of each book again hoping to find anything that would catch my attention. "Audrey." Ash manifests beside me. I turn to him mildly startled "You should rest my girl, you are too pregnant to be running around." He scolds. I frown "No, I need to find it." I turn back to the books when I feel a rough cover. I turn to the book my fingers stop on. 'This is the second floor,' I turn to Kogen who is watching me carefully. I grab the book trying my best to pull it out. I gasped at its weight "This feels like a stone!" I grumble trying harder to pull it out. Kogen quickly grabbed the book for me and pulled it free from its spot. He grunts before setting it down on the ground. He opens the book "This is made of stone." He groans. I look at the letters on the only stone page. "Hold on!" I tilt my head to read the book. "To hide you seek, seek the hidden, Look to the earth under and the skies above." My eyes widen. "A riddle!?" I turn to Ash. He smirks "Ah Theo loved his riddles." He chuckles. "To hide you seek." I murmur looking around the library. "seek the hidden." I look at Ash "We seek to hide! Thats the first part!" I frown "We found the hidden." I look around the library. "Look to the earth under." I murmur "This village is under the earth." Kogen states. I nod "This is technically under the earth," I agree with him looking at the roof of the building but I see nothing. There are no markings or writing. I carefully walk around the room but find nothing. I stand on the first floor and frown "What does he mean by The skies above?" I tap my finger on my lip. I walk out of the building not waiting for Kogen or Ash. I stop as I see the snake tribe helping Yuri create the pillars. I look up into the skies above. The sun is already setting and it's hard to see anything other than the gray clouds. Iris bops my head I giggle "Iris, honey, what have you been doing?" I ask. She swirls around in front of me creating light trails. "What are you thinking?" Ash asks as he steps out. "The skies above." I point to the rim of the volcanic opening. "do you think Theo carved the rest of the instructions along the rim?" I ask. He tilts his head "I've seen this entire Island Audrey." He shakes his head. I frown turning my attention to some other answer. My knee gives out as the kids flare their auras again. I panic as the sharp pain of their aura threatens to rip my insides. I reach for anything to hold onto "Woah!" I'm quickly grabbed by a passerby "Miss Audrey, you need to be more careful! where is Leader Kogen!?" I struggle to breathe but I do my best not to panic. "Audrey." Kogen quickly pulls me into his arms his aura wrapping around my body alleviating the pain. I hold onto his shirt trying my best to breathe. "They have become more rebellious the closer you get to your due date." Ash sighs. I nod tucking my face into Kogen's shirt. The wonderful scent of pine calms my nerves as he flares his aura. 'This feels like intimidation sometimes.' I feel so weak once they stop flaring their auras. Kogen hoists me off the ground and sighs. "I think it's time you rest Audrey." Ash looks worried. I have been pushing myself to find the rest of the barrier instructions. I spot Dad and Alma walking to the Library with Sienna close behind. "What happened!?" Dad quickly runs over after seeing me. I laugh nervously. "This is where I have to draw the line." Kogen sighs. I look at him and nod "Draw the line?" Dad asks. Kogen looks at Alma "I will be pulling Audrey out of the search till after the children are born and once she's rested." He tells them. Alma nods "She is only 9 weeks shy." she seems worried. I smile at her "Alma, can you take over looking for the rest of the barrier instructions?" I ask. She nods walking up to me. I spot her two children sleeping in the baby harness. "I understand it's painful Audrey, so you can count on me!" she smiles. I nod "Thank you, Alma." I feel relieved knowing she would be taking over for me. I know Kogen has been on edge since my stomach started showing more. So much so that he will do anything just to keep me from walking. I am so used to his rough almost desperate sex but these days he is more gentle It leaves me begging for more. I lean on his shoulder understanding his reasons but still upset I'd have to step away from searching for the rest of the instructions. Dad and Sienna have not made any progress on the spell either. I put my hand on my stomach feeling the kids fight for space. I hide my face on his shoulder uncomfortable with how painful it feels. 'I can't believe Willemina had three of these guys fighting for space.' I sigh feeling them settle down. "Are they moving?" Kogen asks. I nod "Yeah, Our babies must be very unhappy roommates." I giggle. He chuckles "It must be cramped in there." He tells me. I giggle "With how small you are they must be pushed up against each other." He adds. I nod "If they are anything like their dad I bet they are huge babies." I joke trying to push away the discomfort of the children's reignited fight. I look at the silver choker Kogen has refused to remove since I gifted it to him. I look at Kogen wondering how in the world I ended up lazing my way into such a wonderful guy's life. "What do you feel like tonight?" He asks. I look out into the dark cave. "hm," I think about it for a little while "Can you make me your favorite dish?" I ask. He chuckles "Alright, venison stake for dinner." He answers. I smile "Sounds good." I coo. We get to the cave entrance overlooking the village. I look at all of the people going about their days like there wasn't a threat to our peaceful days. I breathe in the fresh forest air "I wonder how Yyvonne is doing." I sigh missing my oldest. "Troy has been mentoring her along with the rest of the kids that have decided to go to that base." he tells me. I nod "Did we get any?" I ask curiously. He nods "We got a good number of boys this year and a small number of girls went to my mother's base." he explains. I look at him "These kids are showing great potential." he chuckles as he starts descending the mountainside. "OH? Great praise from the leader Zer!?" I tease. He smirks "All I can say is they show great aptitude with a sword but they lack the knowledge of how to manipulate aura." he sighs. I giggle "Oh, I see is that bad?" I ask. He nods "Soldiers need to have a well-balanced set of abilities." He answers. I frown at the word 'soldiers.' "They are still Kids Kogen, I'm sure with a good example they will round out." I mutter. He looks at me "Kids or not, this is how it's been for a long time." he tells me. I would argue but I know this world is much different from the one I grew up in. I put my hand on my stomach 'It bothers me that soon that is all my children will be.' I feel my heart sink. Kogen presses his cheek to my head "If you do not want them to be part of this, I will respect that." He gives me a sliver of hope. I sigh "I will leave that up to them," I did not want to take away his chance to pass his role down. "If you think about it." he mutters. I look at him curiously "If there are two children there is a chance they are evenly split in species." He tells me. I look at Kogen a bit tickled by his scientific way of looking at this. I giggle "Oh? that can happen?" I ask. He nods "If the couples are two different species there are three outcomes." He states. I look at him ready to get a lecture from Professor Handsome. "If the species are well matched they can get a hybrid child a mix of both parent's traits." He explains. I think about it for a little bit understanding how that would happen. "Now in cases like us, Hm the stronger species could overpower the other and all of the children are of that strain." He tells me. I nod 'That sounds fair.' I tilt my head "What would be considered stronger? A Naga or A bear?" I ask he shrugs "But there is a possibility for one of each species to be born in a litter of two." he tells me. I chuckle 'Ah the trim litter proves the difference.' I kiss his cheek. "You mean in a set of twins." He sighs "A litter fits better." He pouts. I giggle "My I'd only call it a litter if it was triplets." I cackle at the devious smile that curls his lips and wrinkles his cheek. "hm so you do not believe two are a litter?" He asks. I shake my head "Nope! Twins are just the perfect amount of children to care for if you ask me." I giggle. "Alright, then I guess I'll have to try harder for a litter." He taunts. I feel this overbearing arousal tickle the back of my neck. I turn away from him clearing my throat to clear my head. "We are already having two." I whisper shyly not sure how to calm the moisture that seeps from my vagina. "Hm? Will we stop at two?" he asks. I can't help but feel he is aware of what he is doing. I shake my head "W... well, If you w... want more I don't mind but... I will need to get a hang of taking care of a child first." I make an excuse. He chuckles "It's alright, I'm sure you will get a hang of it with me teaching you the ropes." He snickers. We get to the back gate of our home I look up at the mountain a little unhappy that I'd have to stay away from it.
