The End of a Generation

Medusa looks at the dark world around her before she spots Ozaies. The anger she felt coming from the auras that gave her a body seemed to ring in her ears. Till this point, she followed Audrey's orders listening to her intimidatingly calm voice. She can now see the world around her and where her medium is hiding. She looks at the people gathered around her medium seeing two babies in the mix of wounded men and women. She looks at Audrey whose body is nearly completely burnt up. That man she felt before taking some of the damage for Audrey. 'These people.' She asks. 'My family.' Audrey answers. 'I see, so this anger that rings in my ears is for them?' She asks. 'Yes,' Audrey answers. Medusa smiles ' I see, you are very enviable.' She answers before looking back into the darkness around her. Her eyes catch Ozaies as he swims at them ready to attack. "This old fool is envious of the connections you and your family have." she can see the dark-colored aura around him carry that envy. "he will not be able to touch them," she murmurs as Ozaies locks eyes with the two. "A stone cannot move." She smirks as his body starts turning into stone. Ozaies lets out a roar of anger his body growing stiff. Audrey takes a deep breath chanting the final portion of the spell swimming at Ozaies. Medusa wraps her body around Ozaies as the seal starts to settle on his body. Kogen quickly grabs Audrey as her legs give out. The burns on their skin turn black like ink before forming into letters. His eyes widen as they start rushing out of their bodies and into Ashthorens aura. The army that had regrouped in the area watched in shock as the air around them carried these letters. They start to glow brightly before rushing out of the volcanic mouth. "Kogen! Audrey! Audrey's arm!" Blake shouts in alarm. "What is this!?" General Ammar demands rushing to Kogen and Audrey. Kogen looks at Audrey horror filling his body as her arm starts turning to stone. Kogen looks at the page Blake held up. His eyes grow wide as he reads the spell. "The Ancestors seal." Kogen shudders looking at Audrey as she keeps chanting the spell. "Everyone! follow our leads!" Thoren and Loki run into the cave. Kogen can feel Audrey's aura being pulled with the spell and see her body rapidly turning to stone. "There is not enough of Ash's overflowing aura to complete the seal!" Thoren shouts. Olivia hands the already-settled children to Sienna and walks over to The magic circle. Kogen starts chanting knowing Audrey is already dipping into the aura that sustained her life. The men that gathered quickly joined along with the 11 leaders. The ink in the air starts glowing brighter as they rush for their target. Down in the trench Medusa is startled by the sudden surge of aura that fills the weakening body. She can hear Audrey's chanting joined by the chores of others. "To end the danger you are to our world." She looks at Ozaies's stone already unmoving but she already knows he can break free with his amount of aura. 'This is a full god, my petrification cannot last long.'  She warns Audrey. "To watch from your place in the depths of slumber!" Medusa hears Audrey chant. Her eyes grow wide as star-like lights start appearing around them attaching themselves to their aura body. "I Daughter of Ashthoren! I heiress of the Ezra tribe seal away your body and aura!" The stone cracks as Ozaies tries to free himself. "I Daughter of Ashthoren, Heiress of the Ezra tribe seal away your body and aura!" she chants once more. Ozaies frees an arm. "I will grant you but one lonesome gift, to watch this world from your place in deep slumber." The aura used to form their body quickly ensnares Ozaies.  The letters crawling onto his skin shine brightly before one by one they start to lose their light. Audrey groans as Ozaies tries to rip them from him. She shakes her head "I Daughter of Ashthoren! Heiress of Ezra tribe shall seal your body! Your aura and your soul to this trench!" she shouts. "Ashthoren! you coward!" Ozaies shouts wanting to rouse his brother from his slumber. "I Daughter of Ashthoren! Heiress of Ezra tribe shall seal away your voice and your misguiding words!" she roars in anger. The letters quickly lose their light. "I Daughter of Ashthoren! Heiress of Ezra tribe will be the last person you talk to." Kogen listens to Audrey's words. Audrey's goosebump-inducing words reintroduce Kogen to the severity of her scorn. The air is cleared of all the letters as the magic circle is carved into the stone under their feet. Audrey and Medusa watch the final letter go dark and Ozaies's taunting words fade. Audrey takes a deep breath relieved the hard part is over. Medusa managed to petrify him before he got free. The stone statue that now sits in this trench will forever remain as a reminder. 'Medusa, thank you for helping me.' Audrey whispers holding back tears of relief. Medusa nods 'Do not thank me for the efforts you put in.' She answers before Audrey is dragged back into her body. She gasps weakly hanging from Kogen's arms. She looks around herself and sees the people who sit around them. She can't move much and her ears are ringing. Kogen quickly sits down pulling Audrey into his lap. She looks at him as he hugs her tightly "Audrey don't do that again." he whispers. She can hear the fear in his voice. Her eyes catch the tears that escape his eyes. 'why is he crying?' She wonders 'You used up all of your aura, your body was being petrified.' Medusa speaks up. 'What?' Audrey asks 'That is why they joined in the chanting.' Medusa explains. 'I... I was being petrified by the spell.' Audrey feels a shiver of fear run down her spine. 'I gave you some of my aura to substitute what you've lost, enough for your body to avoid petrification.' Medusa explains. Audrey sighed 'god that was stupid.' she smiled 'Thank you again.' She murmurs Medusa bumps her head on Audrey's forehead 'I will protect you as your older sister, I will always be here when you need me.' She whispers. Audrey looks at the beautiful woman in her mind startled by her declaration. 'I have decided you are my youngest sister, therefor I grant you the spell of absolute petrification.' Medusa chuckles 'I will be seeing you soon!' She quickly shoves Audrey out of her mind. Audrey puts her hand on Kogen's cheek feeling bad for making him worry. "I can't promise that." she whispers. he sighs disappointed that she couldn't even give him that comfort. "I will do my best to avoid it." she adds before giving him a quick peck on the cheek. Kogen accepts this offer knowing how dangerous this world could be. "Then do your best." He chuckles. "So is it safe to say Ozaies, God of life and water is sealed away?" Audrey turns her attention to General Ammar. She nods "He is sealed at the bottom of the trench where he came from." she answers. Ammar turns to Loki and Thoren before turning his eyes to his army. "I will leave the diplomatic stuff to you guys." Audrey sighs exhausted from her battle. Ammar feels unsettled by what this young heir has just pulled off. Blake's men had gathered the men that attacked this hidden city by the exit. 'All of these enemies and the small group in this city managed to hold them off!?' His eyes scanned the damaged city hoping to find a hidden army that she kept. 'How could a woman who just 3 weeks and two days before gave birth to children already cause this much damage!?' His eyes find Thoren and Loki discussing together. Ammar was not wrong by all means the small group of eight should be dead. Ammar lacked the understanding of how willful One Naga could be. "How did you manage to keep the enemy off long enough for Blake to get here?" he asks Audrey. He wanted to know how this young and timid woman he met managed to stave off what should have been death. Kogen looks at Audrey before looking at Ammar. Kogen wanted to let Audrey rest some more before she was questioned. Audrey holds eye contact with Ammar before giving him a large smile. "We Naga are a small tribe, but we are not cowards. Speaking for myself Mister Ammar." she sits up "I will never let anyone touch my home, I will never let anything harm my children." Her voice was filled with truth. "I would rather die standing instead of living on my knees. Ammar steps back seeing the threat in her body language. "I will not bow my head to anyone I do not deem fit of my respect." Kogen sighs. "Also, I've been around guns a lot more than anyone in this world." she shrugs "It hurts yeah, the bleeding is horrible and the damage some bullets cause is life-threatening all of that does not matter when I am trying to protect my home." Loki chuckles "Audrey, You should rest." He walks up to the group. "Mister Ammar, I believe it is unkind to question your allies." he gives him a warning smile. Ammar steps back and turns away from Audrey. "I apologize, I did not intend to portray any mistrust." he answers. Audrey sighs as her body relaxes back into Kogen's lap. Ammar is followed by Loki and Thoren to a different location with Helen following close behind. Aurora tags along not wanting to miss out on a very rare event like this.
