Misunderstanding

I jolt awake from a falling dream. I flinch feeling the resistance in my cunt. My eyes spot Kogen sleeping soundly under me. My head throbs as I remember the last thing I did last night. 'Aurora told me Kogen was probably ready to leave after what I'd done.' I frown. I sigh unsure of what to think anymore. 'Why is he sleeping with me if I disgusted him so much that he stopped mid-sex last time and hasn't touched me since?' I'd love to get off of him and try to wash up but I'm stuck. Kogen groans when I try to lift my hip earning myself some pain. "Audrey, sleep." He huffs putting his hand on my lower back. I press my palms on the bed on either side of him. "Can we talk?" I ask finally having him say something other than 'HM or sure.' As much as I'd like to be angry we are stuck together for who knows how long. I'd rather clear things up before jumping to any conclusions that I didn't already make. He opens his eyes and looks at me. "We need to talk I agree." He holds my back before lifting himself with his free arm. I gasp quickly moving my legs to fall behind him. I lift my ass so he could put his legs as extra cushion for me to sit on. I lean forward feeling uncomfortable with how full I feel. He keeps his hands on my hips keeping me down so I wouldn't hurt him. "Audrey, I didn't mean to make you upset." He starts. I nod "I understand you don't like it when people give up so easily." I mutter turning away from him. "I just, thought it would be okay to submit to my husband," I whisper nervously waiting for his answer. "I learned yesterday from Helen what it meant for you to do that." he puts his hands on my cheek. I look at him seeing him give me a weak smile. I feel upset but I wanted to talk. "W... what did she say?" I ask curious to see if maybe my actions were not seen as offensive by those of this world. He sighs planting a soft kiss on my third eye. I close my eyes still nervous about what his answer might be. He sighs "I didn't know there was more than one way of submitting." he explains. "As Aurora said, Submitting usually means somebody can no longer fight and is surrendering their lives." He explains. I look at him seeing his smile become more enthusiastic. "I am sure you've heard Ivonka say it a lot but I am not very used to being around women. Other than Yyvonne but she is my kid." He explains. He grabs my hand and lifts it to his lips. I blush as he kisses the back of my hand "I understand why you got upset." he chuckles. I watch him kiss my palm "If I'd known you were simply trusting me with your pleasure I wouldn't have reacted like that." he sighs. I suddenly feel so embarrassed at my own reaction that day. 'It's just a misunderstanding?' I feel my lip tremble "S... So y... you aren't l..leaving?" I ask. He shakes his head "Why? My wife is you and I love you." He answers. I feel the nerves that clung to me melt away. "I'd never leave the woman who loves me enough to get angry at my refusal of her trust." he chuckles. He panics "Are you alright!?" he cups my face. I sniffle wiping away the tears that have started falling. "Thank god," I whisper feeling so relieved that we talked. "I'm sorry I made you upset." he apologizes. I look at him "It's f.. fine." I sob. He frowns "It isn't I will understand if you do not offer me such a privilege next time." he refuses. I felt so scared since that night and I was not sure how this would end up fixing itself. I rest on his shoulder just wanting to feel the heat of his skin against me. I hug him tightly rubbing my face against his skin. 'It's upsetting he does not understand how much I wish I could just stay in his arms.' I breathe in his scent 'I have always felt my way of love is extreme but it's how I feel.' I bite his shoulder before kissing it. 'These urges to bite him to prove he is mine, The way I want to sink into his skin and become part of him. The way his scent is enough to make me feel at home.' He chuckles "Still angry?" he asks. I shake my head "No... just a little love bite." I answer relaxing against him. He leans against the backboard letting me lay against him. "Can I ask you something?" he seems curious. I nod pressing my cheek to his peck. "How can you trust me so easily?" I looked at him knowing he would grow curious about how I gained so much trust for him despite me not knowing him very well at first. I have no solid answer other than his eyes. The way he looked at me the first day we met I could just trust him. He did not look at me with disgust even after I pissed myself and lost my dinner. The way he would always watch me with curiosity and worry on our way home. The way he never expected much from me like a lot of the men I've come across. He was just overall uninterested in getting me to sleep with him. "I... found your eyes very trusting." I answer he raises a brow. "My eyes?" He asks I nod "You didn't really show me much interest the first few days so I felt I could trust you." I explain. "How is my indifference trustworthy?" he asks. He sounds upset with my answer. I smile "Well, I know a lot of people say a man's disinterest can be bad but, I find when I first meet somebody I prefer them not to be interested in me. It feels creepy when a random guy starts flirting with me." I explain. "Especially if all they had in mind was sex and then toss out the interest once they got what they wanted." I murmur. "Hmm, so you found my lack of interest trustworthy." He chuckles. I nod "I always much rather get to know somebody before I decide that I want to date them." I explain. "So a shot in the dark?" he asks. I giggle "I guess you could say that. If you had told me from the start that you had no interest in keeping me nearby I wouldn't have pushed it." I sit up. "Can I ask why you let me stay?" I ask. He closes his eyes before he sighs. "I was initially going to try and scare you away with my aura." he explains. 'Oh, is that why he did that?' I tilt my head "And?" I ask. He chuckles "You surprised me when you overcame the threat of my aura." He lifts his hand showing me the small cut on his hand. "Your aura managed to cut my skin despite how large my aura was." he explains. I touch the scar "I decided I'd let you stick around and see how things turned out." He answers. I nod 'So we both tested the waters.' I giggle feeling so silly. "So trial by fire." I mutter. He nods "I found you entertaining on the way to the village. The way you seemed more focused on Yyvonne I felt confident you wouldn't cause me any trouble." He sighs "Didn't I?" I ask knowing full well I weaponized his single status to secure myself a home. "Hm, it was worth the trouble." I shudder feeling him slip free. I panic feeling it start to rush out. "oh no." I didn't want to cause the housekeepers trouble with our mess. He wraps his arms around my waist and hugs me to his chest. "We should rest up." he lays me on the bed before fixing himself as a prison made of his arms. I look at him "Kogen, I need to clean up." I whisper feeling so embarrassed with how much seems to be coming out. He hugs me closer to his chest "You should rest." he whispers. I breathe in his scent again feeling calm in his embrace. "Kogen." I whisper wanting to tell him something. "Hm?" He answers. "Thank you for letting me relearn how to smile naturally." I whisper before rubbing my face against his skin. Before I met Kogen smiling seemed like a chore and one that wasn't worth doing. I found it hard to smile when I was on my own. Only ever put up smiles to assure those around me I was fine. I found that I smiled more around Kogen and Yyvonne at first. Seeing the daddy-daughter duo it was the cutest thing I'd ever witnessed. Then I found myself smiling while waiting for Kogen and Yyvonne to come back from their daily tasks. I would never tell Kogen 'But, I don't think I would be able to function without him.' I doze off in his arms.

"Thank you for letting me relearn how to smile naturally." Audrey thanked me again. I want to refuse the idea that I had anything to do with it. I looked at her as she slept "I am only doing my best to make you happy." I whisper feeling grateful she found my efforts enough.

"How could you tell Audrey that!?" Helen scolds Aurora. "I swear! you call Kogen barbaric but both of you only understand war tactics!" Helen grumbles as she brushes Aurora's hair. "Is there any other form of submission!!?" Aurora asks. Yyvonne sat with them waiting for Kogen and Audrey to wake up. "Yes! Aurora! there is! How can you be so dense!" Helen sighs. "What is the other form?" Yyvonne asks. Helen turns to her and debates with herself if she should tell her. "Well, Since you are close to age, I can tell you the other form." She explains to them both what she is talking about. They went about their days waiting for Audrey and Kogen to show up. Once the breakfast times past Audrey and Kogen did not show up. Helen wondered if they were alright but decided not to bother them. "Audrey's probably got a bad hangover," Aurora mutters feeling responsible for letting her drink as much as she did. Little did they know the storm they created for the couple. Audrey steps out of the bathroom fully washed but weak in the knees. Kogen grabbed her arm pulling her to him. "K.. Kogen, I can't anymore." she protested her husband's sudden increased libido. "Are you tired?" he asks. She nods "I'm hungry too." she answers. He picks her up and lays her on the bed "I'll order some room service." he tells her. Audrey thought she'd bought herself some time but oh how wrong she was. The next morning she woke with a start quickly escaping to the restroom she washed up smelling her skin she understood why her husband had been so persistent the day before. 'I need to take some medicine before Kogen wakes up!' She panics washing herself properly. She opened the door seeing Kogen was already awake. "Good morning." she greets her groggy husband. He holds his hand out to her asking her to rejoin him in the bed. She points to the door "W... We should go get some food first." she offers. He hesitates but agrees to her offer getting out of bed. "I'll wash up then." He offers. Audrey watches him take some of his clothes and walk into the restroom. She quickly looked through her bag finding her medicine bottle was empty. "Oh shit," she whispers her brain finally recalling what had been nagging at her since they boarded the ship.
