i used to think drama
and arguments
and disagreements
the small ones that grew so massive
as to break up boyfriends and girlfriends
and to break family bonds so strong
now i get it
it's not about small things
the bonds themselves were not strong at all
do you really not feel loved?
is that the case?
do you really feel like a welcome mat?
do you truly feel taken for granted?
poetic the way that you say you feel
coincides with the way your kids feel about you
there's no rebellion
there's no disrespect
it's simply recognizing who you are
is someone i don't agree with
and never want to be around
and if not for the things you provide
i wouldn't spend a single moment around you
as you would of anyone that irks you
i realized this with one of my friends
and im using it on someone who wants to be my friend
to know what i do.
you're 40 years out of date
not knowing how to handle yourself.
fix yourself before you dare to fix me.
