cant see the ground beneath me
looking forward to the day
i can reach up to the sky
being here is so overrated
stuck on the ground
its delineated
now that ink has dried
i can hear you with a sigh
the last time wasnt so high
a rope connected us
cant help but ask
what would have happened
if id floated away
sometimes i think
that's what you want
but if not for you
i wouldnt feel ten feet tall
and ready to conquer all
and at the same time
as a panorama of everything
ive ever known from things that ive loved
but i cant like things from those i hate
atleast
that's what i tell myself every single time
because im not strong enough
its so irrational
but something i know
is that you have a place in this collage
even though i wonder if you're tired of me yet
walking in circles
pacing in figures of eight
hoping i could see you right now
the store closes in under an hour
and my heart begs to get drunk in the shower
as if itd wash my unclean soul
and im trapped in my tiny human brain
even when we don't see eye to eye
i still wish id never die
because i still need to tell the truth of my lie
in my head it's only letters
but that doesnt make it any better
standing in the rain
hair cant get any wetter
but i cant convey that in a letter.
