Kai

"Hi Justin." I said with a smile on my face.

"Um h-hi Kai." He said looking at his hands.

"So..This packet is pretty long, huh?" I said trying to start a conversation.

"Y-yeah, but you know, I-I'll do all of it." He said still not looking at me.

"Are you serious? No, not acceptable. I do half and you do half. I wouldn't let you do it all by yourself. I'm not like that." I told him, "You want to know a little secret?"

"S-sure." He stuttered, which I find it kind of cute.

"I, Kai Spencer, love math. It's my favorite class, well right after art, of course. And I may have already done the homework for the next two weeks."

"R-really me too."

"Since we have so much time to work on this packet, let's work on that little stutter of yours. Personally I think it's cute, but I want you to be able to feel comfortable around me."

"Um o-okay." He stuttered again,"Oops sorry." He chuckled while looking me in the eyes and then immediately looked down again.

"You want to work on this outside of school? It's one hundred pages, that's pretty damn long." I asked him.

"Um, I don't think that's a good idea. I mean you h-have volleyball. And B-Brian will see me with you and he's not going to like that. Plus, You being seen with me will r-ruin your reputation ." He said while twiddling with his thumbs.

"Why would it ruin my reputation?" I asked slightly confused.

"Kai, I am a nobody. You are a somebody. People like you don't hang out with people like me. It doesn't work that way..." He said finally looking me in the eyes.

"Look Justin. I don't care what people think about me or who I hang out with. Brian can kiss my ass, if he thinks he can control who I hang out with. You are MY friend. And he's going to have to deal with it whether he likes it or not. You seem like a great guy and even though it's our first time talking to each other, I would love to get to know you better. Sooo, I'll give you my address and we can work on it together afterschool, okay?"

The bell rung making both, me and Justin jump.

"Well that's the bell, I'll see you in my art class. You are in my art class, right?" I asked.

"Yeah, I'll save you a seat. I m-mean only if you want me to."

"Sounds great. See you later, my homie." I hit my chest twice and chucked the deuce up.

Justin chuckled and did the same back to me.

It was finally last period, art class, my personal favorite. I walked in, smiling at Ms. Jacobs.

Ms. Jacobs was very young, she graduated from our school two years ago. She's absolutely beautiful, she had long brown hair and bright blue eyes. Most boys take her class, so they can drool over how "hot" she is. I personally like her because she's an amazing teacher, she gives me my inspiration. I sometimes use my free period to come and teach class with her.

I saw Justin sitting down with a blank piece of paper in front of him.

"Is this seat taken?" I asked Justin.

"Yeah actually, I'm saving it for-" he said looking up at me. "You actually came to sit next to me?"

"Of course, I said I would." I giggled.

"I know, I just thought... Nevermind."

"So, what are you working on today?" I asked.

"I don't know. I'm not sure yet." He responded.

"Kai. Justin. Will you please go get the acrylic paints and brushes out of the closet in the hallway. Thank you." Ms. Jacobs said.

We exited the class, walking into the hallway. Passing all of the teenagers, who were hanging out because of their free period.

"So Justin Bieber, how has your day been?" I asked

"It's been going well." He smiled, "How's yours?" He asked while opening the closet door.

"Well thanks for asking, it's been-" I stopped mid sentence, seeing Brian and Amber making out in the closet. I grabbed Justin's hand and started walking back to class. I felt his hand being ripped away from mine. I turned around to see Brian holding Justin with both of his hands on Justin's arms.

"Bieber, What the fuck did I tell you about talking to Kai?" He yelled in Justin's face.

"Ms. Jacobs asked us t-to get supplies from the c-closet?"Justin stuttered.

Brian raised his fist and punched Justin in the face, making his glasses fly. A crowd started forming.

"Oh my god, Justin are you okay?" I got on my knees and looked into Justin's eyes. He eyes started to form tears. I tore my me eyes away from him and looked at Brian with anger.

"Are you fucking kidding me? Why in the world would you punch him. He did NOTHING to you. You do not own me." I said jabbing my finger into his chest, "Justin does not deserve any of this from you. I have had it with you... You really cheated on me with HER. With this hoe?" I said pointing at Amber, her lipstick smeared on her face, "All those times I asked if we could hang out, you were hooking up with her. Weren't you? You always had an excuse why we couldn't. "I have to take a math test during lunch" my ass. I'm done Brian. We are done."

He stared at me, thinking of something to say.

"Yeah well, I have other girls lined up waiting to be with me. I don't need you." He said.

Everyone was standing in a huge crowd, watching like it was a soap opera.

"Oh really? Well have fun with that. You know Brain I thought I loved you. I thought you were the perfect guy for me, we would be together forever. People told me you were cheating on me. But no, my dumbass actually believed in you. I made myself believe you were a good guy. Well, obviously I was too blind. Too in love, to see that you weren't. It's sad, you know? To think about everything I gave to you. These last three, almost four years all going down the drain. What a waste of time on such a dumbass like you. I wish I could take it all back. Everything I did with you was a mistake. I don't want anything to do with you. Do you fucking understand me?" I said through my teeth, with tears in my eyes.

I turned around to see Willow standing there with sadness in her eyes. I ran into her arms.

"It's okay, babe. He was a dick and you deserve so much better." She said while rubbing my back. "Alright people. Shows over. Go back to your own lives." She said. Everyone still stood there in shock. "Do I need to repeat myself. You guys go."

I looked down to see Justin still on the floor with his hand clenched to his jaw. Guilt filled my body as I kneeled down.

"Justin, I'm so so sorry. None of this would've happened if it wasn't for me. You didn't deserve any of this. I'm-"

"Kai, it's okay. It's not your fault at all. Brian was just a douche. And Willow is right, you do deserve someone better." He interrupted me.

I smiled and helped him up off the ground. I kept his hand in mine. Willow looked down at our hands and started wiggling her eyebrows. I blushed and let go of his hand.

"So, what do you say, we take Justin to our favorite place?" Willow asked with a smile.

"Oh yes, definitely." I said, "I'll drive. Justin you prepared for our crazy adventure?"

"Oh lord. I hope so." He chuckled.

"Come on, it will be fun." I grabbed his hand and walked out of the school's entrance. Justin is about to get a taste of the real me.

I want Justin to open up to me. I want him to have a friend who doesn't judge him. Who likes him for the real him. A friend to talk to and have fun with. A friend he can tell his kids about stupid things he did as a teenager with. And that friend is going to be me.
