Chapter 11
Geco's POV
I let out a satisfied smile when I did.
After we are done fixing her, she wear her gown.
When she finished, my eyes couldn't take off staring at her. Fine, I was glad. I am glad that I'm the only one who can see her right now.
Madamot ka, Georgina!
I held my hands at her but instead of taking it, her hands rested on my waist immediately. The music on her stereo started. It was an old and classy song.
"I'm sorry for taking it so long... I'm just comfortable this way... You are probably judging me now for putting on make-up when we will also just sleep after this..." aniya kaya agad na napakunot ang noo ko. Bakit ko gagawin?
"Huh? Why would I? My definition of comfort may be pajamas and untied hair, it might be different from yours but I don't really care. That makes you comfortable so who am I to judge you," I said, smiling slightly at her. She pouted but I saw how her eyes glistened with joy.
"Whatever."
The two of us dance secretly while the moon and the stars are peeking in her window.
I don't like dancing but maybe it's not that bad. I dance with her when the music becomes pop. She's just also staring at me. She shines with the stars. She has always been a star. Look so near but also far.
"When we were young you used to sneak out to come here," she said kaya napairap ako.
"Oh, shut up. You made me come here." Bahagya siyang napangisi sa akin because that's the truth. This woman won't stop pestering me unless I play with her. Fine, I also want to. I used to admire her room back then and she always acts like she's a princess. When we were kids, I used to think that everything that is shining is beautiful. Ayaw ko mang aminin noon pero I find her beautiful.
Well, she still is.
"You know what's funny? When I was a kid, I never even dreamt of being a princess." I remember it.
"You want to be just like your Lolo. Someone who made a dream house possible. You don't want to be a princess who lives in a big castle but a princess who builds it..." I said, remembering her exact words. Unti-unti rin siyang napangiti sa akin.
"Is that still your dream?" tanong ko sa kaniya. She looks at the sky before she acts like she's trying to catch it. Ngumiti siya nang lingunin ako.
Lagi lang kaming nag-iiringan for the past years that we didn't have this kind of conversation.
"Do you think it is still possible? To become the woman I imagine myself to be?" she asked, wondering.
"You can be whoever you want. You can pursue whatever dream you have. That's your life. No one can tell you otherwise," I said, staring at her bago ngumiti nang tipid. Whatever choice she chooses, I know she will be able to work on it perfectly.
