Chapter 70. "She already did"

Reds pov

- GABBY?! I screamed in the darkness, trying to find her.

But nothing.

I looked at my phone, no service.

- Gabby?! I yelled again, trying to figure out where she was

Suddenly I was dragged into a room, a dark room and someone smashed their hand on my mouth, making me shut up.

- Shhhh, Red, they'll find us, Gabby whispered, not releasing her grip on me.

I tried to say something but I couldn't, she held me hard while I heard footsteps outside the room. When the worker outside finally passed the door Gabby released me.

- What the hell are you doing? I snapped, turning around to look at her. Feeling my anger rise.

- They can't find us! We need to get out of here! Gabby stated while she rushed to the door and cracked it open a little, to see if someone was there. She quickly closed it again, seeing footsteps approaching.

- Who is that? I ask, trying to see something.

- It's the person that takes care of Anastasia, Gabby claimed as she anxiously looked in both directions of the corridor.

I had never seen Gabby afraid, or anxious. Not like this. Something must have really scared her.

- Come on, we need to try this way! If we go back where we came from they'll notice us! She said and dragged me out of the room by my arm. She practically ran, dragging me along in the darkness.

We only came a couple of meters ahead when something sharp dug into my ankle, making me trip over.

- Shoot! - I screamed while I fell down on the floor, landing on my face.

Gabby hovered down beside me, I could see her green eyes filled with worry.
- Omg Red, are you okay? What was that? She asked as she looked at the ground where I fell.

- It felt like metal, I groaned in pain.

- Yeah, I can see it, it's like a little metal thing that's up against the wall and the ground. Wonder what that's for? She asked, as she also helped me up.

My right feet really hurted, I hissed in pain.

- Are you okay? She asked, helping me stand.

- I don't think I can walk Gabby, it's hurts to much! I groaned, as I felt one tear roll down my cheek.

Gabby hovered down to look at my ankle.
- Red, you're bleeding!

I took a deep breath, as I tried to walk a few steps, Gabby holding on hard to my arm to help me move.

Suddenly someone lighted up the corridor and shouted something in our direction.

- Come on! Gabby panicked as she held on to my side, wrapping an arm around me to help me walk faster.

I managed to walk all the way to the end where we had to find a way down to the basement again. But it seemed like the person lighting up the corridor didn't come after us.

Gabby let go of me a little and laid her hands over her chest and tried to take a deep breath.

- How are we getting down there? We literally can't go back! She asked, trying to get service on her phone.

I had to sit down for a moment, my foot and ankle hurting too bad. I slide down on the wall, my back hitting the coldness of it. Gabby tried to call Zack as she sat down in front of me, gently stroking my leg.
