Shooting Star

You came into my life

From moon and sky

Just like a shooting star

You stood your ground

Upon the stage

Your voice singing aloud

So sweet, so proud, so powerful

Singing without a doubt.

I met a crowd,

I let them go,

Your voice, it carried on

To listen fro,

I stood my ground

As your voice just comes and goes.

To the stage, I go again

Until it's only us who sing

First you, then I, then you again

Until I finally find the strength:

"Hello, Im me.

And who are you?

I saw and heard you sing.

You might have surely heard me too.

Will you sing with me another tune?"

Then I see you

After weeks again

And there you sit,

All shy as if

Your voice wasn't the greatest gift.

Your voice is soft

We speak of books

And you sit far away

But listen close

As I tell you,

You'll carry me away once more

But never lead astray.
