Love Letter to Life

I love poems

And dwelling on dreams

In worlds no one but me

Can enter nor see

I love guitars

The wood and the strings

The melody it sings

Which is closest to my past

I love to learn

And every time I recognise

The things that I have memorised

It's like I upgraded my worth

I love to sing

The joy that it brings

Not only to me, but to others

Still reminds me of my father

I love the stars

The light, kept on in the dark

And the wishes I make

Based on my childish heart

I love the night

While the darkness frightens me

There is, oh, so much more to see

In the moon's old, wise eyes

I love the sea

Its calming, steady noise

As if it has its own voice

And the waves crumbling beneath my feet

I love art

And the way of being a part of it

With no further words uttered

Just fascination, voiced in stutters

I love the mountains

Maybe not the way I climb to fast

But the outlook at each journey's end

And how it overtakes my heart

I love philosophy

How it turns our wheels as we reel

I talk and talk like no other

Because I got that from my brother

I love to rhyme

Because as long as life does

It reminds

Me of the way we came

The road we climbed

I love love

I love flowers

I love warm words

And I love morning showers

I love

I love

Oh, so much more

Than in one poem I could fit

I love life

As much as hate may rise to my head

As much as I question when I look at the road ahead

I am made to live of love, life, art, and air

No matter the scars I bear

How many times at life I swear

Empty promises and even more so words

Or how many times my heart has hurt

I love life

And how the roads turn as we seek

Some things might make us week

But for some we will strive, even if it takes us all of eternity

I love life

And we already won when it begun

Since it makes each of us unique

Because it makes you into You

Me into me

And us

Into

We.
