I'm here for an interview with Sister 2 Sister magazine. I've got Rashad and Dada with me. I will not add strain to my relationship with Aubrey by trying to hide it. Maybe this interview will make them less interested. Dada came up and hugged me.
K: I know how hard this is for you Lili. I just want to tell you I'm proud of you
A: (smiles at her) Thank you
R: Yeah sis. This is a good step (hugs her)
A: (kisses his cheek) I just hope this is a good move
Jamie: Hi Aaliyah!!!
A: (grins) Hi Jamie!!!! (runs and hugs her)
Jam: So nice to see you again babygirl!
A: It's nice to see you again as well
Jam: Well, your publicist told me you had a scoop for me honey girl!?
A: Yes, I do. (deep breath) I want to give you an exclusive on me and Drake
Jam: (whistles/fans herself) Oh honey! You trying to make my next issue hot stuff!! (laughs)
A: (laughs)
Jam: Well, let's get started. What is the official relationship between you and Drake?
A: Well, we are dating right now. Getting to know each other a little better and see where this goes
Jam: Oh wow. So how long have you guys been together?
A: Well, we've been friends for about eight months now. We grew closer while working on our song. And we just decided that we should give things a try. I was really feeling him and I like his vibe
Jam: Wow!! I have to admit though, I kind of saw you two getting together
A: (laughs slightly/taken aback) really? How?!
Jam: Well, I did an interview with Drake about a year ago and he admitted that he's always had a crush on you. In fact, it was the sweetest thing. He blushed while talking about you!
A: (smiles) Awwww! Don't make me start blushing now
Jam: Oh girl! You've been blushing since you sat down (laughs)
A: (laughs)
Jam: So what made you do this interview? I know how much of a private person you are
A: I just want to do this differently. In the past, I've tried to keep the media out of my business and I think that's what made them all the more interested. And I guess with me and Drake both being in the industry, I just want to do things a little bit better so that we can have a chance to be somewhat of a normal couple
Jam: Well honey, to be honest with you. This is going to be a task either way. Two of the hottest artists in the game right now dating? It's going to be the talk of the world
A: (laughs/covers face) uggh, please don't remind me
Jam: But it's going to be alright. I see you two having a great relationship
A: (sighs) I sure hope you're right Jamie. I sure hope you're right.
