Chapter 109: A Frog Doing the Front Crawl?!

Yushiro quickly ran inside the ship and put Robin in the bathtub under warm water, in hope that she would defrost successfully.

Sharp pain throbbed through his nonexistent arm and he held it, focusing his energy to regenerate.

Then, Usopp and Chopper came to help.

They were throwing warm water over Robin with some buckets.

"She can't breathe.... can she...?", Usopp asked hesitantly.

"I think she's probably in a state of suspended animation.", Chopper answered professionally after a second of silence.

"T-Then won't she die if we don't hurry up?", Usopp grew worried.

Yushiro took a deep breath and calmed himself down before sitting on the side of the bathtub, after, of course, flicking Usopp's forehead lightly as the latter held it in surprise.

"Idiot. Don't worry. ....
Robin's strong.", Yushiro tried to reassure Usopp while also trying to convince himself.
"Also, ...  .... if we warm her rapidly, her body will break."

Chopper nodded at Yushiro's last comment. "We need to restore her body temperature from the inside."

Usopp nodded , full of thoughts and his eyes trailed to Yushiro's still bleeding arm. His eyes widened.
"Are you gonna be okay, Yushiro?", he asked worriedly as he rumbled on. "I mean- I have never gotten any of my limbs cut off but i'm sure that hurts and--"

"It's fine, Usopp.", Yushiro interrupted him and then his wound started to close which meant that he would start regenerating his whole arm soon. "See? It's starting to close."

Usopp was about to say something but Chopper's squeak of surprise caught them by surprise.
"W-What's wrong, Chopper?!"

Yushiro's eyes trailed to Robin and he could see that some of her hair was defrosted and showed. "Look, Usopp!", he pointed his finger.

At that, all three of them (Yushiro with one hand), threw warm water at Robin to continue the defrosting.

They hadn't given up.

Then, they heard Zoro's shout.

"CHOPPER!!"

At that, Chopper went out on the deck and Yushiro was listening to the conversation as he and Usopp continued their work.

"Ah.... What?! Why?! Just the three of you?!", they heard Chopper yell and looked at each other.

"Only three...?", Yushiro muttered to himself and continued listening.

"We'll explain it later!", Zoro shouted back. "We're gonna go back right away! Do something about out frozen arm and leg!!"

"Ahh, okay . Let's see...", Chopper muttered before shouting back at Zoro. "We have to melt those frozen areas with water immediately. But we're using the shower room for Robin right now."

"Is she okay?!", Nami shouted worriedly.

"It's too early to tell.", Yushiro could hear the frown on Chopper's face and frowned himself and tuned them out at that.

He was brought back to reality by Usopp's snapping fingers.

"-Shiro! Yushiro!"

"Hm? What?", Yushiro blinked and looked at Usopp.
