Chapter 53: A Promise Between Men! Luffy and Whale Vow To Meet Again!

"The Island Whale lives only in the West Blue, and it's the world's largest whale.
The pirates had been travelling with Laboon all that time, but they left him in the West Blue since the Grand Line is extremely dangerous.
Although they thought they did, he followed them.
Island Whales usually travel together as a group, but i suspect that Laboon felt that he was a member of that pirate group.
Since their ship had broken down, they stsyed at the vape for several months.
So we became quite good friends.
Because of that, on the day of their departure...they asked me to look after Laboon until after they completed their voyage around the world since it was too dangerous.

The Straw Hats were surprised.

"50 years...!" Usopp exclaimed. "Laboon has been waiting for those guys for 50 years?"

"Is that why he continues to howl at the wall, hitting himself on it?" Nami wondered.

"Yeah...." Crocus answered.

Laboon howled again and Yushiro's eyes widened. He covered his ears.

Luffy and Crocus noticed this.

"Hm? What's wrong Yushiro?" Luffy asked him.

"I no longer have the energy to do reckless things like you guys do." Crocus stepped off his island and climbed up a ladder to the top of the platform.

"A doctor, huh? That's why the inside of the whale's body is like this..." Usopp mumbled.

"Then these are from the treatment..." Nami said.

"That's right. When the whale is this big, it's impossible to treat it from outside.
I'm gonna open the doors." He turned the huge wheel on the platform, which opened up a large gate that led to the outside of Laboon's stomach.

The Going Merry, with the Straw Hats and the restrained couple on board, and Crocus' mechanical island sailed through the tunnel that led to the outside world.

Reverse Mountain (Twin Cape)

"There it is!! The real sky!!" Luffy shouted at the top of his lungs.

All of the Straw Hats were looking ahead, so they didn't notice the blue-haired woman getting up.

She woke her partner up and they both got out of their ropes.

"Hm? Miss Wednesday, what on earth..."

"Shhh...."

"But 50 years.....? Those pirates sure are making him wait a long time...." Usopp remarked.
