Chapter 76: Adventure and Monsters that Live in the Country of Sand!

To stop the rebel army, Luffy and the others now head into the desert for Yuba, the oasis town.

"Ugh....Ugh.... Sweat won't even come out.....", Luffy was using a stick to pull his weight.

"Quit moaning so much, Luffy. You'll only tire yourself out." , Nami complained.

"UGH...!"

"Guess he's not listening.", Nami deadpanned.

Usopp was following Luffy's example and used a stick to pull his weight.

"I can't go on.... I can't take hot weather....", Chopper looked dead.

Chopper was laying on a sled thing that was being dragged by Zoro. "I'm fine with cold weather though..."

"It's 'cause of all that fur... You should take off that animal suit...", Usopp squinted his eyes.

"💢💢 WHAT WAS THAT, YOU JERK?!" , Chopper went into his human form, towering Usopp trying to scare him.
"DON'T MAKE FUN OF REINDEER"

"GYAAA!! MONSTERRRR!!" , Usopp screamed.

Zoro pulled a little and couldn't pull him.
"Chopper! Don't turn big! Or else i won't pull ya!"

"WHO'RE YOU CALLING MONSTER, HUMONGO-NOSE?!"

Usopp's legs were trembling.
"D-Don't be stupid!
I-I'll have you know that this nose--"

"Just turn back already!!", Zoro pushed Chopper down, making him go into his base form.

Yushiro was walking beside Ace.
"Ow!"

"Hm?", Ace was alerted by this.

Yushiro's cheek was burning up.
"A burn...", he touched it. "Dammit....💢 I knew this would happen..."

"Oi, are you alright?", Ace asked him with a worried face.

"Eh? Ah, yeah. It's nothing. It'll heal when we reach shade...probably..."

Ace frowned at this and wrapped his head with some extra cloth he had.
"There."  He nodded to himself.

Yushiro just stared at him and smiled fondly.

Ace was surprised by that and Yushiro noticed that he saw it so he stopped smiling and turned his head away.
"Hmph!.... thank you...."

Ace just chuckled.

Yushiro's wound began to heal quickly and Ace was relieved by that.

"You don't seem to be having a hard time, Vivi-chan."  Sanji commented.

"I was born and raised here, so it doesn't bother me much.", she smiled.

"But what's with all these hills?", Usopp complained. "I figured a desert would be more flat.

"Ugh....", Luffy moaned once again.

"This is a very old desert, so some sand dunes here are over 300 meters high.", Vivi informed him.

"Th-Three hundred meters? No wonder this is like climbing mountains..."

"Ugh... It's too much.... It's so hot...", Luffy's tongue was sticking out and he pulled out the water supply and stuck a straw in it.

"Just one drink, Luffy. Just one mouthful.", Nami warned him.

Luffy nodded ....

Before taking the biggest sip there ever existed. His cheeks literally expanded from the water.
