Chapter 99: Jaya, City of Gold in the Sky!

When the four of them arrived at the ship, they noticed that Chopper wasn't showing up and concern immediately filled Yushiro and the others.

"Chopper!!", Nami tried calling him out. "Where are you?!"

"Chopper!! Say something!!", Yushiro shouted.

"Hey, the Merry's mast is gone.", Zoro pointed out. "What kind of changes did he make?"

Yushiro was irritated so he bonked Zoro on the head. "You idiot! Merry-chan and Chopper were obviously attacked!"

Nami was still trying to call him out.
"CHOPPER! I'M SORRY IT TOOK SO LONG! IT'S SAFE NOW TO COME OUT! YOU'RE THERE RIGHT?!"

Then she turned to Yushiro. "He is here, right?"

Yushiro nodded but looked worried. "Yeah..... i smell his blood...."

"STOP HIDING AND SAY SOMETHING, CHOPPER!", Nami yelled again

They received no amswer.

"I wonder if he was torn limb from limb.", Robin commented casually.

"Stop saying scary things💢!"

Zoro them sighed before speaking up.
"OI, CHOPPER! ARE YOU THERE?! DID SOMETHING HAPPEN?! SAY SOMETHING!"

Just then, they spotted Luffy, Sanji and Usopp on a crow-looking boat, waving at them.

"YAHOO!"

"AHH! NAMI-SAN! ROBIN-CHAN! SORRY TO KEEP YOU WAITING❣️
I'VE OVERCOME THE LOVE ORDEAL TO COME HERE!"

"Ah, was that it? That was the ordeal?"

"WERE YOU GUYS SCARED? NOW THAT CAPTAIN USOPP IS HERE, YOU'LL BE SAFE!"

Yushiro just sweatdropped at their behavior. "Well, they look perfectly fine to me."

Nami smiled and sighed. "Phew, i'm relieved."

The ordeal trio had docked their crow boat beside the altar and they all had climbed up onto Merry.

Usopp stood in front of the now gone mast. There was just a stub.
"The mast is..... gone....", he examined it.

Chopper thought Usopp would be angry with him and tried to explain himself.
"U-Uhm, .....Usopp.... I'm sorry. I fought really hard.... but a lot of things got burned."

It seems like he was wrong though, because Usopp turned to him with a worried face.
"Are your wounds okay?!"

Chopper looked surprised but nodded.
"Eh?.... yes."

Usopp just sighed through his nostrils.
"What a scary guy, using a spear that can burn things.
I'm glad that it wasn't you that got burned. We'll think about the ship later.", he laughed and walked away.

At that, Chopper began tearing up, but blinked his tears away and climbed up to stand on the railings.

His relief turned into burning determination as he declared.
" I'LL BECOME A MORE DEPENDABLE MAN!!"
