Saying goodbye to my home town was hard. Not only i miss the every day routine of waking up going to school seeing the familiar faces and visiting Luke's grave, but i miss the part that Luke took away from me when he died, the fun part. I haven't been able to do more with a guy other than a kiss, and that was Michael. I miss Luke, so much that i want to punch every guy that hits on me.
I arrive at Camberwell College of Arts and I'm on my way to the campus, it's actually pretty close so this is great for me. I didn't have enough money to buy an apartment or to even rent one so staying in the campus is the best option.
I search for my room carrying the bags after me and i finally find my number. I go in hoping for a great roomate, but i fmd myself alone. There are some bags and things on the other side of the room, but the person possessing them is missing.
I'm super curious to see how she looks like or if we're gonna get along with each other. I start unpacking and after i finish she still doesn't come in the room. I start texting mom to tell her that every thing is ok.
I feel my phone buzz and i see a skype video call from Michael.
"Hey college girl." He smiles to me and i see he dyed his hair black.
"Wow, hello to you too Mr Dye-My-Hair-Everyday." I joke and we laugh
"Yeah, new place, new hair " he tells me and I'm actually thinking of that. I should make my hair different, maybe dye it blue, like i had it in my dream.
"I like that." I admit smiling.
"So, how's London?" He asks me and i sigh not really having time to see it.
"Well all i did was found the college and moving in in the campus. I'm pretty tired actually, was thinking of taking a nap." I say realizing how exhusted i am.
"Yeah, you probably should, but before you do. I need an advice because I've got some news." He tells me growing more anxious and i sit on the bed almost like preparing myself to take in whatever information he's about to tell me.
"So you know that i applied to a law school and I've received a letter from that university." He sighs and seems sad.
"Michael that is great did you get in?" I ask trying to stay positive.
"Well the thing is. I got in, but i don't know if i should go." He sayd and i let out a relieved breath.
"None sense. Of course you should go. it would be a great opportunity for you. You told me this when i got into this college, i don't even want to hear it. You'll go." I say firmly and he starts laughing.
"Ay ayy captain." He chuckles. "Man, i hope you'll have fun there, promise?" He says and i look on the window and stare at the people and it's like no one is as alone as i am.
"Yeah, I'll try." I look back at the screen and he shakes his head laughing. "Make friends and enjoy every minute, let people in. Okay Y/N?" i love that he's so sweet with me even when we're on different continents.
"Yes Michael, i told you. This is the new begging I need. I will nake new friends and I'll try to be like i once was."
"No Y/n, don't try to be the person you once were, step outside of that person you've been and be the person you're meant to be, the person you are. i like you for who you are, okay? don't change." His words bring a smile to my face and i nod to him.
"Okay. I promise. Now you need to promise me that you will attend the courses of the Law University and not grow distant with me." I'm scared i will lose him too. That fucking dream i had scared the heck out of me. I lost everyone. He's the only one i got left apart from my mom.
"Hey, you know I'm always here for you, right? No matter what. I'll alwas be your best friend and no one can stop it." It feels good to be reassured.
"Good. This sounds perfect." I smile and he nods. "It is. Now you get some sleep and call me when you're free." He tells me and i nod smiling.
"Okay, I'll sure do that. Bye Mike" i wave goodbye and hang up.
