I sigh as I look on the window. The street is glowing as the sun reflects in the asphalt and the little flowers in the front yard move a little as the wind softly whispers gentle words to them. Every thing is imperfectly perfect... Only I am scratching things on my math notebook. Why this subject has to be so damn hard?

I hear a light knock on the door and I turn my head to see my dad's head popping in.

"Are you ready sweetie?" He asks looking more excited than me.

I throw my notebook on the bed and nod to him. As I take a one last look in the mirror I fix my blue hair and smile to him.

"Yeah, let's go." He smiles to me and I follow him outside. It's a tradition in our family ... He taught me to ride a motorcycle since I was able to walk and we always have our day, it's the last Saturday in the month, when we just ride our bikes to literally nowhere. It's just me and my dad and we spend the day just us two.

Last year he bought me this new motorcycle and man I love it so damn much.

"Be careful out there!" I hear my mom shouting from the kitchen.

"Sure thing mom." I smile to her and she blows me a kiss.

I see dad going her way and giving her a full kiss on the lips. This is just a little weird, I feel awkward when my parents kiss in front of me.

"Have fun hon'!" She gives him a hug and he smiles to her.

"We will Kat. Love you." I hear my mom saying she loved him back and I'm out putting my safe hat and getting my bike ready.

I see my dad riding his motorcycle and we just take off. I feel so free as the wind blows my hair like that. When I'm riding, I just feel so damn secure, having the control over where I'm going but also not knowing where I'm heading is the best thing ever. Just me and dad driving to nowhere.

After a long drive I see my dad slowing down as we come across a lake and I'm just right behind him.

"Come Cher, we will hang out here a little bit." Dad says and I nod. I just happen to like so much this view. The water so calm, from time to time little fish show their bodies as they jump out and in the water again.

"So how's school sweetie?" He starts talking after a few moments of silence.

"You know ... Is school, nothing too interesting. Just girls and boys and boys and girls ... And then there's math." I hear him chuckle as I say this.

"We've all been through that one though. It will be over soon." He runs his fingers through his dark hair and throws me a sandwich from his bag.

"2 and a half more years of school... Amazing." I say sarcasticly while unwrapping my food.

"It's not that bad though ... I remember when I was in high school... It was awful." I chuckle at his words "but then again, those were different times." He adds and I roll my eyes.

"Don't lie dad. You just hated school. How did you even become a bank investor? " I mock at him and he giggles.

"Your mother was just in the right place at the right time. She got me out of that whole mess." He sighs and smiles to me.

"What mess were you into?" I ask curious and he looks at the lake.

"I wasn't always this man who wears suits at work. I used to be such a mess honestly." He confesses and I've always know dad had his past as my mom sometimes teases him about being this dirty biker. But I really want to know more of my dad's past.

"To be honest you still are." I laugh and throw him a napkin and he wipes his face.

"Yeah, well the important thing is that now I can actually provide money for my family. You know there was a time when I used to sleep in a bar in which I was also working. Man, then my dearest friend died and I had to walk out of that place. I knew I didn't belong there anymore. Just as I was riding my bike I saw your mom in a shop and after that my whole life had changed." He tells me and I give him a warm smile.
