*Mariah's POV*
I was exhausted. I had been up pretty much all night, not including when I was unconscious and stuffed in the back of a pick-up truck. Now, I had an entire post-hardcore band at my house, a shattered window in my living room, a bullet hole in my wall, a throbbing foot wrapped in a cast, and a splitting headache that made my ears ring. I really needed a nap. A good, 12 hour long nap.
"I'm beat, guys," I said as everybody sat down in the living room. "I think I'm going to go upstairs and sleep for, like, a year."
Jeydon said he would too, and ran upstairs. I had to awkwardly hobble over to the stairs. Behind me, I heard Justin, in the living room, yell, "Don't accidentaly fall of your bed and break your other leg!"
Real funny. I readied myself for the lond journey that was 12 steps to the second floor, but somebody's hand grabbed my wrist and turned me around. "You better dream about me," Kellin said, smiling and giving me a quick kiss.
"Well, I am a 19 year old girl. Isn't that what we dream about? Guys in bands?" I could actually think of several other things I could, and have, dreamed about. Unicorns. Food. Books. A magical land where I control everything and everybody I don't like just magically disappears. Puppies. Baby monkeys. Male models. Dolphins.
"It's what you should dream about," he shrugged. "It's been a while since I've been a 19 year old girl, so it might take me a while to remember my dreams from back then."
I laughed, but it hurt my head. "Don't try too hard. You're too pretty to think."
"I'm glad somebody other than me and Jesse finally realizes that!"
I rolled my eyes. "I just might be too tired to dream today anyways."
He kissed me again. "Sleep tight."
I went upstairs and found Jeydon curled up in my bed. "Jeydon," I said, smiling. "You know this is my bed, right?"
"Mhm. It's soft." His voice was muffled by the pillow. "You should get some sleep."
I pursed my lips together, trying not to laugh. "But, you're in my bed."
He moved over, pushing himself against my wall and handing me Pooh. "We can both fit. We've managed before."
He had a point. My bed was so much softer than everything else, and, even though it wasn't very big, we could both manage to fit. Why not? I climbed into the bed and pulled the blanket up to my nose, falling asleep easily with Pooh clutched to my chest.
**
It was difficult to sleep with a cast on, at least for me. I don't understand how other people do it. I woke up after about 7 solid hours of sleep. No dreams, which kind of saddened me. I liked my dreams a lot of the time. Sometimes they were really weird and made me laugh, like the one about fish swimming in pickles. Other times, I could do without them.
Jeydon was already awake, but still laying next to me. He was doing something on his phone, but put it away when he saw that I was awake. "Good morning," he said, smiling.
I sat up and rubbed my eyes. "It's not morning," I pointed out. "In fact, it's almost 10 o'clock at night."
He shrugged. "Same difference." He sat up too, toying with the zipper on his sweatshirt.
"Thanks, for earlier." He looked confused, so I clarified. "Fighting for me and hiding in the back of a pick up truck and saving me."
"I would do anything for you," he said. "You should know that."
"Well, now I do. You're the best best friend ever."
He winced as I said the words "best friend" like it hurt him. "Can I ask you something?" he asked. I nodded. "What's going on with you and Kellin?"
