*Jamie's POV*
Kellin and Jesse were the last ones off stage, sweaty and out of breath. It did make me feel better to watch and listen to them. It was a big distraction. "You guys were great," I told them.
"Thanks," Kellin answered, pushing past me and looking around. "Um, where is Mariah?"
I looked around too. I actually hadn't really seen her in a while. Jeydon and I had gone in search of something- anything- that could make me feel better. We'd found the cooler stuffed with alcohol and snuck a few drinks. I was underage, but what the police didn't know wouldn't hurt them. I currently had a water bottle half-full of vodka in my hand, but even Jeydon didn't know about that one.
"Shit," Jeydon cursed under his breath. "I haven't seen her since, like, 20 minuted before you went on."
"Me niether," I admitted. She was a big girl. She could take care of herself. I was the one wandering around here brokenhearted. Wait- she should be here. She should be being my best friend, just like Jeydon was. She should be helping me feel better. Why would she just leave me like that?
Kellin pushed through the crowd of people in the small hallway and want searching for her. Jeydon went to follow him. I could tell he was worried, and I should've been too, but I wasn't. That's really not good. It's probably just the alcohol talking, I decided. Well, probably that and the strange numbness that was taking over my brain. I grabbed Jeydon's wrist and pulled him back. "Don't leave me, Jey," I said, taking a sip from the water bottle. "Kellin can find her, but I need you."
His gaze wandered back to where Kellin had gone, the path he'd made was filled with people again. He bit his lip ring and looked back to me. "Fine," he said.
We walked back and sat in one of the rooms that had couches. They weren't comfortable in the least. "Where do you think she went?" he asked me. I shrugged, taking another, burning sip from the bottle. "Do you think she's okay? Do you think that she left? Why do you think she disappeared? Why wouldn't she have wanted to see them? Should we go look for her? Maybe we should go see if anybody has seen her. Kellin would let us know, though, wouldn't he?"
I rolled my eyes and mentally groaned. I had to drain the bottle just to drown him out. She was all he was talking about. Why? She would be fine! She's not stupid!
"Wow, Jay," Jeydon said. "Thirsty?"
I dropped the empty bottle to the ground and shrugged. "It made me feel better," I said. It was partially true, but it numbed all of my thoughts rather than made my problems fly away. If only something could do that.
I found my hand moving onto Jeydon's knee and drawing little circles. Apparently, it wasn't only my thoughts that were clouded, but also my judgement. "Uh, Jamie... What are you doing?" he asked, but he didn't move my hand. Drunk me took this as a sign to keep going. I moved my hand further up his leg and scooted closer to him. "Jamie, sto-"
I grabbed his hand and pulled him into the bathroom. "Kiss me," I ordered.
"What?" he asked in disbelief. It wasn't that crazy an idea, in my opinion. "Jamie, I think you're drunk."
I shrugged and hooked my fingers in his belt loops. "Kiss me, Jeydon."
"Jamie, I-"
Fine, I thought. If he wasn't going to kiss me, I was going to kiss him. I pushed his against the back of the door, standing on my toes and crashing my lips onto his. I took one of my hands out of his belt loop and locked the door behind him. He pushed me away, and I felt sad. Well, drunk me felt sad. I don't really consider us the same person. "Jamie, we are not doing this," he told me sternly.
Wow. Talk about a buzz kill. I pushed him away from the door and let go of his jeans. "Fine," I spat, unlocking the door and swinging it open. Kellin stood right outside the door, his hand up like he was just about to knock. I reached out, grabbed the collar of his shirt and pulled him into me, kissing him fiercely. I don't know why I did it. I shouldn't have done it, by any means. He was dating my best friend, I had just tried to make out with Jeydon, and I was completely drunk. I guess the latter would be the reason, not that it was an excuse.
He peeled my hands off his shirt and pushed me back. I stumbled back running into the wall. "Have you been drinking?" he asked me. Was I really that obvious?
I pushed past him too, and everybody else in my way, stomping angrily down the hallway. I didn't know where I was going, but I knew I needed another drink.

*Kellin's POV*
What the hell was going on around here? People were disappearing. Other people, who were underage, were getting drunk and kissing anybody they could find just to piss people off. This could be an episode of a TV show. I would watch it.
I was still looking for Mariah. She wouldn't really just leave, would she? That would be a little better than her getting kidnapped again, but it would significantly lower my self-confidence.
Vic and Jaime pushed past me, carrying their guitars and getting ready to go on. "Good luck," I told them, patting each of their backs as they walked past. I didn't even look at them. I could barely even process what they were saying. All I could really think about was finding Mariah.
I walked into one of the rooms in the back, the only one with a door that lead outside. Justin stood in the doorway, smoking a cigarette with a drink in his hand. "Who are you looking for?" he asked me, not even looking at me. How did he know me so well?
I hesitated. "Nobody," I lied. He dropped his cigarette to the ground and stomped it out, turning around and giving me a suspicious look. I sighed. "Mariah. We don't know where she went."
He pointed to a truck on the corner of the parking lot that was lit up. "She might be in there."
Wow. Why didn't I think that she might have gone into her dad's truck? But then again, why would she just go out to the truck? I thanked Justin and made my way over to the corner of the corner of the parking lot. As I got closer, I heard her music playing. Taylor Swift. I knocked on the passengers side window and saw her jump about a foot in the air, dropping the book that was in her hand. She pushed the door open and turned her music down.
"What are you doing out here?" I asked her, climbing in. She shrugged and avoided my eyes. "I thought you liked concerts."
"I do, but I'm a mosh pit person. Not a backstage person," she admitted. I raised my eyebrow at her. "It's just, I'm a very awkward person, you know?"
I shook my head and scooted closer to her. "You have never once seemed awkward. You gonna tell me the real reason?" She didn't answer. She didn't even look up. I put my arm around her waist and pulled her into my side, giving her my best pout. "Please."
"Itscalledsocialanxiety," she muttered. I barely understood what she said. Social anxiety? How long had she been dealing with this? Did people know? Could people tell? This topic really seemed a little out of my league.
"You could've come and found me," I told her.
"You were performing and busy," she reminded me. Oh, yeah. I kind of forgot about that. "I couldn't bother you. I would've been with Jamie and Jeydon, but they were somewhere, doing something to get her mind off of Adam."
'Doing something to get her mind off of Adam.' Hadn't the two of them been in the bathroom together when I'd she had opened the door? I hadn't even begun to think about what they were doing. Did I want to know what they were doing? I mean, she was drunk, so it probably could've been anything. But, if they had been doing something in there, why would she have kissed me when she walked out? Aw, shit. Should I tell Mariah that Jamie had kissed me? Would she really care? Too much to think about right now, I decided.
"Well, come hang out with us all now," I told her. She smiled faintly and nodded. I kissed her before we got out of the car. It felt different without stitches, in a good way of course.
We got back inside just as Pierce The Veil was walking off stage. I saw Vic, Tony, and Mike walk off stage, smiling and sweating. Jeydon ran up to Mariah, scolding her for just walking out like that. I looked around, knowing that some people were missing.
Where the hell were Jaime and Jamie?
