*Kellin's POV*
Mariah and Damon had gone into Damon's room a while ago, and I couldn't help the little feeling of jealous curiosity that was overtaking me. She was in a boy's room with the door closed. Should I not be worried? Should I just get over it? Ugh, decisions. I hadn't even gotten any time yet to ask her about what happened yesterday. Was she mad about that? Was that why she left the room?
I looked over to see Jeydon glaring at me. What the hell? Why was this kid mad at me? Did he know something that I didn't?
"What?" I asked him.
He scoffed and rolled his eyes, mumbling something under his breath.
"Come again?" I pushed.
"It's all your fault," he said again. I looked around to see if anybody was paying attention, but they weren't. "It's your fault that she went in there right now, too."
"What are you even talking about?" I snapped. Even if it was my fault, which he might have been right about, who was he to tell me this? If Mariah was pissed at me, then she could tell me herself. This, if it was even a thing, was between her and I. Jeydon wasn't involved in it.
"You don't even notice or care," he growled. Sudden anger, much?
"I really don't know what you're talking about. Fill me in?"
Jeydon rolled his eyes again. "She's not okay, and you're not good for her. You don't even care."
I stood up, finally fed up. What was he saying? Well, I get what he was saying, but why was he saying it? "And who would be good for her, huh? You, I'm guessing? The only reason you're talking shit right now if because you like her."
We both looked over to everybody else in the room just to see if they were paying attention, which they still weren't. Jeydon stood up too, the toes of his socks touching the toes of my TOMS. "Yeah, maybe I do like her. And I know for a fact that I would be good for her. At least I pay attention enough to her to know when something isn't okay. Like, maybe, you not telling people about everything?" There was venom in every word he spoke, and I had to admit that it hurt a little bit. Was he telling the truth, or was he just jealous?
"What are you going to do about me, then?" I asked, knowing the instant I had said it that I had gone too for.
He looked like he was going to swing, but somebody's arms held him back. Jamie stepped in between us, yelling for us to calm down and tell her what was going on. I heard Damon's bedroom door swing open. We all looked over to see Mariah, Damon behind her, running towards us. To my surprise and disappointment, she ran over to Jeydon's side and pushed Jesse away from him so she could hold onto his arms herself. What about me?
"What did I miss?" she asked.
"Um, yeah. Me too," Damon added awkwardly.
I looked at Jeydon and, considering we were the only two who knew what had just happened, shook my head. They didn't need to know, I decided.

*Jeydon's POV*
We all stood pretty awkwardly, having no clue what to do.
"Well," Jamie said, breaking the tension. "Let's go get some food that isn't vegan," she looked at Damon, "and have some fun. You know, cause some shenanigans."
This made Mariah smile, which made me smile. I had barely seen her in the past few days, and she hadn't smiled around me since that night at dinner. "Shenanigans!" she cheered. She let go of my arms and walked away.
