*Mariah's POV*

~one month later~

Best friend bonding time while Jeydon was using his phone to vlog. His vlogs always seemed to start with, "Hey, fothermuckers. Sorry I haven't been making videos like I said I would." Then, they would turn into something completely pointless and he would promise to start making weekly videos again, although that would only last for a few weeks at a time.

We walked into The Christmas Tree Shop, the best place in history to cause shenanigans. Jeydon handed his phone, which was still filming, to Jamie as he hopped into a basket of pillow pets and curled himself into a ball. We saw some people around starting to notice and give him weird looks, so we knew it would only be a matter of minutes before the manager would be looking for us. Time to see how much more trouble we can get into before then.

First thing to do is play hide-and-go-seek. Jeydon covered his eyes with a mask he found in one of the aisles while Jamie and I ran into the bathroom section. She settled herself into a bin of towels while I hid behind a curtain that smelled heavily of plastic. You could probably see my shoes under the curtain, but I was almost positive that Jamie would be found first.

That faith faltered when my my phone started chiming in my pocket. I unlocked it quickly, not giving up that easily.

I rolled my eyes and groaned. Damon was in the process of moving, which means that the nonstop text messages were all asking Jeydon, Jamie, and I to come and help him.

I started to text him back, but the curtain that was hiding me suddenly opened. I thought Jeydon had found me, but, instead, I looked up to find the manager of the store looking down at me with angry eyes. He held Jamie by the hood of her sweater. "Get out of my store," he said.

We all walked out of the store with our heads down, acting like we actually felt bad but smiling as we went. That man had kicked us out a handful of times, and still didn't realize that we were the same people over and over again. Oh well. At least we got a good video out of it.

We gave into Damon's constant texts and got on the next plane to California. Ugh. It sucked that he was now moving even farther away from us. Not only was he going to be hours upon hours away, but now he was going to be in a whole different time zone. Why couldn't he just move to Buffalo? I mean, New York was definitely not as warm as California, or Florida now that I think about it. But that's where I wanted him to be. I guess if I really had the chance, though, I would move to L.A. too.

He picked us up and the airport and he drove us to a new vegan restaurant that he had found, which would probably supply most of his food while he lived here. I'm not a vegan, nor could I ever be, but I have to admit that vegan food isn't terrible. It's not bacon, but it isn't terrible.

Everybody else had finished eating, and Jeydon was nudging my elbow next to me. "Finish eating," he said.

I looked down at my plate. There was about 95% of my food left, and I honestly didn't want anymore. "I'm full," I said.

"Bullshit," Jeydon snapped.

I looked up from my plate and glared at him. The conversation around us seemed to stop and the tension was building. "Excuse me?" I asked, crossing my arms over my chest. What an asshole thing to say.

"Excuse me?" she demanded. Her arms were crossed over her chest and she was glaring at me through the hair that was falling in her face. She was pissed and all business right now. Shit.
