Runaway
You make me wanna runaway from you
Suffocate
Why do I feel suffocated by you
The club pulsed with a low, hypnotic beat as multicolored lights flickered across the packed floor. Han Taesan leaned against the wall, his sharp jawline illuminated by the faint neon glow. A drink dangled lazily from his fingers, the condensation dripping onto the polished floor. His eyes, dark and searching, followed Kim Leehan as he moved through the crowd. There was something magnetic about him tonight—the casual way he tossed his hair, the way his laugh cut through the chaos. But that laugh had been rare lately.
Leehan stopped near the bar, his face lit up briefly by his phone's screen. Taesan's gaze lingered on the way Leehan's lips curled into a faint smirk, the kind of smile that used to be for him and him alone. They hadn't talked much tonight, though they'd arrived together. Something unspoken hung heavy between them, a weight neither was ready to address.
Taesan's legs moved before he could think. In moments, he was beside Leehan, the scent of his cologne pulling him in. Leehan glanced up, his expression unreadable.
"You've been avoiding me," Taesan said, his voice low enough to be drowned by the music if Leehan wanted to ignore him.
But Leehan didn't. Instead, he tilted his head, his eyes narrowing. "You think everything's about you, don't you?"
Taesan's lips twitched into a half-smile, though the sharpness in Leehan's tone stung. "When you're acting like this, yeah. I do."
Leehan's fingers tightened around his glass. "Acting like what?"
"Like everything I do annoys you," Taesan shot back, leaning closer. "Like you're looking for reasons to push me away."
Leehan's laugh was bitter. "Maybe I am."
That hit harder than Taesan expected. For a moment, he was silent, his gaze searching Leehan's face. The crowd seemed to melt away, the music fading into the background.
"Why?" Taesan finally asked, his voice quieter now. There was no edge, no teasing. Just raw curiosity—and hurt.
Leehan hesitated, his lips parting as if to speak, but no words came out. Instead, he looked away, his jaw tightening.
"Leehan," Taesan pressed, stepping even closer. Their bodies were nearly touching now, the tension between them electric. "Talk to me."
Leehan's eyes flicked back to him, and for a split second, Taesan saw the vulnerability hidden behind the mask of indifference. But then it was gone, replaced by defiance.
"You want to know what's wrong?" Leehan's voice was sharp, but it cracked at the edges. "It's you, Taesan. You're... suffocating."
Taesan froze. The word hung in the air like smoke, choking him. "Suffocating?"
Leehan laughed bitterly again, running a hand through his hair. "Every time I turn around, you're there. Every time I try to breathe, you're in my space, asking me what's wrong, what I need, what you can do. It's too much."
Taesan's chest tightened. He opened his mouth to respond, but Leehan wasn't finished.
"And the worst part?" Leehan's voice lowered, his eyes shining with unshed tears. "You make me feel things I don't want to feel. You make me want things I shouldn't want."
Taesan's breath hitched. He reached out, his hand brushing against Leehan's arm. "Leehan..."
Leehan shook his head, stepping back, but Taesan followed, trapping him against the bar. Their faces were inches apart now, their breaths mingling in the charged air.
"Don't run from this," Taesan said, his voice barely above a whisper. "Don't run from me."
For a moment, neither of them moved. The tension crackled like a live wire, the world around them slowing to a crawl. And then, in a rush of desperation and heat, Taesan closed the gap, his lips crashing against Leehan's.
Leehan's gasp was muffled, his body stiffening before melting into the kiss. His hands found Taesan's shoulders, gripping tightly as if to anchor himself. The kiss was messy, frantic, a release of all the emotions they'd been holding back for weeks. Taesan's hands cupped Leehan's face, tilting it to deepen the kiss, to claim him fully.
When they finally broke apart, both were breathing heavily, their foreheads pressed together. Leehan's eyes were wide, his lips swollen. "Taesan..."
"You drive me crazy," Taesan admitted, his voice rough. "But I'm not going anywhere. Not unless you tell me to."
Leehan stared at him, his defenses crumbling. "I don't want you to go," he whispered.
Taesan's lips curled into a soft smile, his thumb brushing against Leehan's cheek. "Good. Because I'm staying. No matter how mad I make you."
Leehan laughed softly, the sound lighter this time. "You make me mad, Taesan. But you also make me... happy. And that scares me."
"Then let's be scared together," Taesan said, leaning in to kiss him again, this time slower, sweeter.
This time, the kiss didn't stop. Taesan's hands moved from Leehan's face, sliding down to his waist and pulling him closer until their bodies pressed together. Leehan's breath hitched, and his hands drifted from Taesan's shoulders to tangle in his hair, tugging just enough to earn a low groan from Taesan.
"Leehan," Taesan murmured against his lips, his voice thick with desire. "You don't know what you do to me."
Leehan's eyes fluttered open, darkened with emotion as he whispered back, "Show me."
The air between them grew heavier, charged with something far more intense. Taesan didn't need another invitation. His lips left Leehan's, trailing down to his jaw and then to the sensitive spot just below his ear. Leehan shivered, a soft sound escaping his lips as Taesan's teeth grazed his skin.
"You're so frustrating," Taesan said, his voice rough as his hands explored Leehan's sides. "But I can't get enough of you."
Leehan's laugh was breathless. "Good. Because I'm not going anywhere, either."
Taesan pulled back just enough to look into Leehan's eyes, his thumb brushing over Leehan's bottom lip. "Say it again."
Leehan's cheeks flushed, but he held Taesan's gaze. "I'm not going anywhere."
Taesan's smile was all-consuming before he kissed him again, this time with a fervor that left no doubt of his intentions. The night stretched on as the two of them gave in to the pull they'd been resisting for far too long, lost in each other in the haze of music and light.
For once, neither of them cared who was watching. The world outside the bubble they'd created could wait.
