You ain't gotta be my lover for you to call me baby
Never been about no pressure, ain't that serious
Can we, we keep, keep each other company?
Maybe we, can be, be each other's company

The rooftop was no ordinary rooftop. It wasn't just the sprawling view of the city or the way the stars seemed brighter up here. There was something... otherworldly about it. Taesan always felt it in his chest, a faint hum, like the rooftop itself was alive.

Leehan hesitated at the doorway, clutching a lantern Taesan had left glowing faintly on the stairs. "You're serious about this?"

Taesan turned, his silhouette bathed in the soft, golden light of floating orbs—magical wisps that hovered above the rooftop, casting a dreamy glow. "When am I not serious?"

Leehan raised an eyebrow, stepping forward. "You're always messing with something you shouldn't. What if it's dangerous?"

"It's not dangerous," Taesan said, his voice calm but laced with excitement. He waved a hand, and the wisps moved, shifting like fireflies obeying his command. "It's beautiful."

Leehan approached cautiously, the glow of the wisps reflecting in his wide eyes. "How... how are you even doing that?"

Taesan smirked, lowering his hand. "I didn't. The rooftop did. I just... encouraged it."

"You're insane," Leehan muttered, though he couldn't hide the awe in his voice as the wisps danced around him, weaving patterns in the air.

Taesan took a step closer, his eyes glinting mischievously. "Insane enough to bring you here, and you came anyway."

"Someone has to make sure you don't blow yourself up," Leehan shot back, though his tone lacked any real bite.

Taesan chuckled, gesturing for Leehan to follow him to the edge of the rooftop. As they sat down, the wisps floated higher, spreading out like stars coming to life. The air seemed to shimmer, and the faint sound of music—soft, ethereal—filled the space.

"Is that..." Leehan trailed off, listening intently. "Where's that coming from?"

"The magic," Taesan said simply, leaning back on his hands. "It likes music. Likes company too."

Leehan frowned, glancing at him. "You're saying this rooftop is... alive?"

Taesan nodded. "Kind of. It responds to people. Their emotions, their thoughts." He grinned, tilting his head toward Leehan. "It's responding to you now."

"What?" Leehan looked around, his pulse quickening as the wisps began to shift again, their glow intensifying. They swirled around him, leaving trails of sparkling light in their wake. "No way. That's—"

"Magic," Taesan interrupted, his voice soft. "Just let it happen."

Leehan swallowed hard, his heart pounding as the wisps wrapped around his hand, warm and soothing. The rooftop's hum grew louder, a melody weaving through the air.

"This is insane," Leehan whispered, though he didn't pull away. "It feels... alive."

Taesan leaned closer, his shoulder brushing against Leehan's. "It is. And it doesn't do this for just anyone, you know."

Leehan turned to look at him, his face lit by the glow of the wisps. "Why me, then?"

Taesan's smirk softened, his eyes searching Leehan's. "Because you're you."

The air grew warmer, the magic around them pulsating like a heartbeat. The wisps danced faster, their trails forming shapes—flowers blooming in midair, constellations appearing and fading. The rooftop itself seemed to shift, its tiles glinting like precious stones under the wisps' light.

Leehan couldn't take his eyes off the display. "It's... beautiful."

Taesan chuckled, his voice low and warm. "I told you. Magic needs company to shine."

Leehan's breath hitched as Taesan's hand found his, their fingers intertwining. The warmth from the magic seemed to spread between them, a steady, comforting heat.

"This feels..." Leehan hesitated, glancing at Taesan.

"Right?" Taesan finished for him, his eyes softening. "Yeah. It does."

Leehan couldn't bring himself to pull away, the rooftop's hum and the glow of the wisps wrapping around them like a cocoon. For the first time, he didn't want to question it.

As the music swelled, Taesan leaned in, his voice a whisper against the magic-filled air. "Stay with me tonight. Just... this moment."

Leehan nodded, his voice caught in his throat. "Yeah. Okay."

The wisps flared brightly, as if celebrating the unspoken connection between them. The rooftop, alive and vibrant, held them in its embrace as they sat together, their hands clasped and their hearts beating in perfect rhythm with the magic.
