And I wanna stay with you
until we're grey and old
Just say you won't let go
Just say you won't let go
The rain had started to fall softly as Taesan walked down the familiar streets, his mind replaying the moments that had led him here, to this very point. The light drizzle wasn't enough to dampen the warmth he felt inside. He pulled his jacket closer around him, the cool air tingling against his skin, but his heart was warm, the kind of warmth that only came from being with someone special. Someone who had been there for him through it all—Kim Leehan.
The little café he was walking toward stood on the corner of the street, tucked between two large buildings. It wasn't a place that attracted a lot of attention, but for Taesan, it had become a sanctuary, a place where he and Leehan could escape the noise of the world and just be themselves. They had made countless memories here, each visit a little bit more special than the last.
As he reached the door, he hesitated for a moment, staring out at the rain that blurred the world around him. But then, as if on cue, the bell above the door jingled as he pushed it open, the familiar sound welcoming him inside. The warm air hit him immediately, wrapping around him like a hug. And there, by the window, sat Leehan—just as Taesan had imagined.
Leehan was staring out at the rain, his face softened by a peaceful smile. He didn't notice Taesan at first, but Taesan noticed everything—how the raindrops traced patterns on the glass, how Leehan's hair had fallen just the right way, how his fingers lightly traced the rim of his coffee cup. He looked so at ease, so comfortable, and Taesan's heart swelled with affection.
"Are you going to stand there all day?" Leehan's voice brought him back to the present, and Taesan couldn't help but smile.
Leehan's eyes met his, and for a moment, the world seemed to pause. There was that smile again—the one that always made Taesan's heart race, the one that made everything feel like it was falling into place.
"You're late," Leehan teased, his eyes sparkling with mischief.
"I had to make sure the rain didn't stop me from seeing you," Taesan replied, his voice a mix of playful and sincere. He walked over and took a seat across from Leehan, his heart pounding in his chest.
Leehan laughed softly, reaching out to grab his hand. "You always know how to make me feel special."
Taesan's smile softened, and he squeezed Leehan's hand, the connection between them deepening with every touch. He leaned forward slightly, unable to tear his gaze away from him. "You are special," Taesan whispered, his voice low but steady. "To me, you're everything."
Leehan's expression shifted, and for a moment, Taesan thought he might say something more. But instead, Leehan smiled again, a soft and tender smile that spoke volumes. "I've been thinking a lot lately," Leehan said, his voice quieter now, as if sharing something intimate. "About us. About what we have."
Taesan's heart skipped a beat. "What about it?" he asked, trying to keep his voice steady, even though a flutter of nerves had taken root in his chest.
"I don't want it to end," Leehan said, his gaze locking with Taesan's. There was no hesitance in his voice, no uncertainty. Just pure, raw sincerity. "I want to be with you. For as long as you'll have me."
Taesan's breath hitched in his throat. The words hung in the air between them, and for a moment, he couldn't find the right ones to say. He never imagined that Leehan might feel this way—that he, too, wanted something lasting, something real. Something that wasn't just a fleeting moment.
"I'm not going anywhere," Taesan said finally, his voice thick with emotion. "Not now, not ever."
Leehan's eyes softened, and his hand tightened around Taesan's. "Promise me," he whispered.
"I promise," Taesan responded without hesitation, his voice firm and unwavering. "I'll always be here for you, Leehan. I won't let go."
Leehan's eyes shimmered with emotion, and for a moment, everything else around them seemed to fade. The noise of the café, the people coming and going—it all disappeared, leaving just the two of them in a small bubble of shared silence. Leehan leaned closer, his gaze never leaving Taesan's face, his lips parting slightly.
"Say it again," Leehan murmured, his voice barely audible.
"I won't let go," Taesan said, his voice low and steady. "I'll always be here for you, Leehan. No matter what."
A smile spread across Leehan's face, a mixture of joy and relief in his eyes. He leaned forward, slowly, as if savoring the moment. And then, just as Taesan thought he might kiss him, Leehan whispered, "Then show me."
Before Taesan could respond, Leehan's lips met his in a soft, gentle kiss. It was a kiss full of promises, of everything they had yet to experience together, of the love that was blooming between them. Taesan's heart raced, his hand reaching up to cradle Leehan's face as the kiss deepened, slow and tender.
When they finally pulled away, both of them were breathless, their foreheads pressed together. The world outside the café seemed to have stopped—there was only the sound of their hearts, beating in perfect rhythm.
"I'll never let go," Taesan whispered, his thumb gently caressing Leehan's cheek. "I mean it."
Leehan's smile was soft, and for a moment, he just looked at Taesan, his expression full of love. "I know. I believe you."
And in that moment, Taesan knew with all his heart that this was where he was meant to be. No matter where life took them, no matter what challenges they would face, they would face it together. Because when it came to Leehan, he wasn't going to let go—not now, not ever.
As the rain continued to fall outside, they stayed there, in that small café, holding hands, lost in each other. And Taesan knew that, with Leehan by his side, he had everything he needed.
