"I'll take every single piece of the blame if you want me to
But you know that there is no innocent one in this game for two
I'll go, I'll go and then you go, you go out and spill the truth
Can we both say the words and forget this?"
It was almost funny, how obvious they were.
Taesan lounged on the couch like a king who owned the world, one arm draped over the backrest. Leehan sat beside him — not close, but not far enough to be casual. Close enough that their shoulders would brush every time Leehan shifted. And he did. Often.
They weren't trying to be subtle. If anything, they were being the complete opposite.
"I liked your solo part," Taesan said, lips curling into a familiar smirk. "You really know how to look like you're not trying when you're trying too hard."
Leehan scoffed, his grin lazy. "And you really know how to sound like you're flirting when you're not even hiding it."
Jaehyun groaned from across the room. "Oh my god, again?"
Sungho tossed a pillow at them. "Do you two ever take a break?"
But Taesan didn't take his eyes off Leehan.
"Not when he's looking at me like that," Taesan murmured, voice low and flirtatious, making Leehan blink in surprise. Taesan's gaze didn't drop. "Like he's one second away from kissing me or killing me."
Leehan raised a brow and leaned in just a little. "Depends on the day."
The others made exaggerated gagging noises, and the teasing carried on. But beneath the surface — beneath the practiced lines and cocky glances — something had changed.
Because it wasn't just a game anymore.
The mood shifted later that night when the dorm quieted down. Everyone was tucked into their own worlds — music in ears, phones in hands, lights dimmed. Leehan was still awake, scrolling absently, when he heard his name in a quiet voice.
"Leehan," Taesan said from across the room.
Leehan sat up. "Yeah?"
"Come with me."
They ended up outside — on the balcony where city lights flickered like nervous confessions. The air was cool. Taesan leaned against the railing, arms crossed, jaw tight.
Leehan waited, patient but puzzled. "What is it?"
"I need to say something," Taesan said. "And you can laugh if you want, or pretend I'm joking like we always do. But I need to say it anyway."
He turned to face him fully.
"I'm sorry."
Leehan blinked. "For what?"
"For pretending this was all just a game. For flirting with you in front of everyone when I really—when I actually meant it."
There was silence. The kind that pressed against your chest and made it hard to breathe.
"I'll take every single piece of the blame if you want me to," Taesan said, stepping closer. "But you know that there is no innocent one in this game for two."
Leehan's throat tightened.
"I'll go, if that's what you want. And then you go and spill the truth. But..." Taesan's voice cracked slightly. "Can we both say the words and forget this?"
Forget this.
Leehan stared at him — at the boy who teased him mercilessly in public and smiled like he wasn't scared of anything. Except now.
He shook his head.
"I don't want to forget," he whispered. "I want to remember every stupid joke you made. Every time you leaned in like you were about to kiss me just to mess with my head. Every time I laughed it off when I wanted to say something real."
Taesan blinked, stunned by the sudden shift.
Leehan gave a half-smile, soft and real. "I'm sorry too. For pretending I wasn't falling for you."
The tension shattered.
Not with a kiss, not with words.
But with a laugh. A warm, shaky, relieved laugh from both of them. Because finally—finally—the jokes weren't covering anything anymore.
"Wow," Taesan said, eyes bright. "That was... disgustingly emotional."
"Shut up," Leehan muttered, but he was smiling. "You started it."
Taesan stepped close enough for their foreheads to touch.
"So... you like me?"
Leehan rolled his eyes. "Obviously."
Taesan smirked. "Wanna kiss me? Right here? In public?"
Leehan chuckled, cheeks pink. "Don't push your luck."
"Oh, I'll push it."
And he did — gently, grinning like a fool, pressing a soft kiss to Leehan's cheek.
From somewhere above, someone let out a loud "ARE YOU KIDDING ME?!" followed by a chorus of footsteps and screams of betrayal from their group.
Taesan didn't flinch. He grabbed Leehan's hand like it was the most natural thing in the world.
"They'll get over it," he whispered.
Leehan squeezed back. "Let 'em suffer."
They both grinned.
Careless. Bold. Unapologetically each other.
And for once, no more pretending.
Sorry for being late😅😅
