The snow had just started falling — soft flakes swirling under the golden glow of the streetlights outside the office building. Leehan yawned, clutching his scarf tighter as he walked beside Woonhak, who was currently ranting about printer errors and how the coffee machine "hated him personally."
Leehan wasn't really listening. His mind was somewhere else. Taesan.
He could still feel the ghost of his voice in that last text — "I'm missing you right now."
And maybe Leehan was thinking about replying again, maybe something cheesy, maybe a "I miss you more," when—
"Leehan."
That voice. That tone. That heart-stopping, familiar sound that made his breath catch mid-step.
He blinked, once, twice—then his jaw dropped.
There he was.
Standing in the snow like he was crafted out of every daydream Leehan ever had. Black coat, messy hair, snowflakes dusting his shoulders, flowers in one hand and that damn smile on his face.
Leehan froze for half a second. Then — he bolted.
"TAESANNNN!!!"
The flowers barely survived. Leehan practically tackled him, arms flying around his neck, the momentum knocking both of them to the ground. They landed with a soft whump in the snow, laughing so hard it echoed through the street.
"You—idiot—" Leehan choked between giggles. "You didn't even tell me you were coming back!"
Taesan grinned up at him, hair full of snowflakes. "The surprise worked though, didn't it?"
Leehan smacked his chest lightly. "You're insane!"
"Insanely in love with you, maybe."
Leehan let out a helpless giggle and buried his face into Taesan's coat. His voice came out muffled, warm against the fabric. "I missed you so, so, so much."
Taesan's hand came up to cup the back of his head, gentle and sure. "Me too, love. Me too."
They stayed there — tangled together, snow falling around them, hearts beating in sync. Passersby smiled, whispered things like "They're so cute" and "That's what love looks like." Neither of them cared. They were too busy laughing, too lost in the moment to notice anything else.
Finally, Taesan sat up, brushing snow from Leehan's hair before helping him stand. "I brought you your favorite chocolates," he said, revealing a slightly squished bag, "and a lot of gifts for my one and only."
Leehan blinked, flustered. "You didn't have to!"
"Please," Taesan smirked. "If I don't spoil you, who will? That guy?" He pointed at Woonhak, who was standing nearby, face buried in his scarf, trying so hard not to look at them.
Woonhak sighed dramatically. "You two are unbelievable."
Taesan chuckled. "Hey, don't act jealous."
"Jealous? Who, me? Of you?" Woonhak scoffed, throwing his hands up. "Please. I'm embarrassed just standing here."
Taesan grinned. "Well, don't be too embarrassed — I got you something too."
That got Woonhak's attention. "Wait, really? What is it?"
With zero hesitation, Taesan tossed him a tiny keychain. A shiny tag dangled from it, reading in bold letters:
'Certified Third Wheel.'
Leehan absolutely lost it. He bent over laughing, tears in his eyes, while Woonhak groaned like his soul had just left his body. "You're both the worst," he muttered, but there was a tiny smile tugging at his lips — the kind you try to hide but fail miserably.
Leehan finally caught his breath, cheeks flushed from laughter and the cold. He reached for Taesan's hand, their fingers lacing together naturally, easily — like they'd done it a thousand times before.
"Yeah," Leehan said softly, looking up at him, "but we're happy."
Taesan's gaze softened, his thumb brushing against Leehan's knuckles. "That's all that matters."
The city lights glowed around them, the snow drifting down in slow, lazy flakes as they walked — laughter still echoing in the air, warm and alive.
Woonhak trailed behind, shaking his head, muttering something about "gross couples," but even he couldn't hide the grin spreading across his face.
And as the snow kept falling — soft, endless, beautiful — the world seemed to fade until there was only them: two hearts that had found their way back, wrapped in laughter, love, and the quiet magic of being home again.
don't ask why i had to post an epilogue....I just...had to...
