So come away, starting today
Start a new life, together in a different place
We know that love is how these ideas came to be
So baby, run away with me

The city lights flickered against the dark sky as Leehan leaned against the railing of an old rooftop, his fingers idly playing with the frayed edge of his hoodie. The soft hum of the streets below blended with the distant sound of music playing from a car radio. It was late, too late for him to be out, but that had never stopped him before.

"You always do this," Taesan's voice came from behind him, smooth yet laced with something unreadable. Leehan turned his head slightly, catching the way the neon lights painted Taesan's sharp features in hues of red and blue.

"Do what?" he asked, a teasing lilt to his voice.

Taesan exhaled through his nose, stepping forward. "Sneak out. Meet me in the same place. Like we're kids again."

Leehan's lips curled into a small smile. "Maybe I just like seeing you."

A flicker of amusement crossed Taesan's face, but his eyes remained serious. "Your dad's gonna kill me if he finds out."

Leehan scoffed, shifting closer until their shoulders touched. "He never liked you much, anyway. Never believed me when I said you were the one."

Taesan studied him for a moment, then reached out, fingers brushing against Leehan's wrist before entwining their hands together. "And yet, here we are."

A breeze ruffled through Leehan's hair, carrying the scent of rain and gasoline from the streets below. They stood there, silent for a moment, letting the weight of their past and present settle between them.

"You ever think about leaving?" Leehan murmured, voice barely above a whisper. "Like... really leaving? Just you and me, out of this city, away from all the expectations."

Taesan tilted his head, considering. "We could go anywhere we want," he said finally. "Drive down to the coast, jump in the seat, and never look back."

Leehan's grip tightened around Taesan's hand. "Then let's do it."

Taesan chuckled, but there was a seriousness in his gaze. "You're really willing to put everything behind?"

Leehan nodded. "My love is yours if you're willing to take it."

The words hung between them, heavy with promise. Taesan reached out, cupping Leehan's face with a gentleness that contradicted the way his heart pounded in his chest. "I ain't gonna break it."

Leehan let out a breathless laugh, pressing his forehead against Taesan's. "Then let's go."

No hesitation. No second thoughts. Just them, hand in hand, running toward a future they were ready to claim as their own.

The night air was cold against their skin as they made their way down the fire escape, landing in the alleyway below. Leehan's heart raced, adrenaline mixing with excitement as they crept past the dimly lit storefronts, their fingers still interlocked.

Taesan tugged him forward, leading him to his old blue Corvette parked a few blocks away. The car gleamed under the streetlights, a reminder of their countless late-night drives. He pulled open the passenger door, gesturing for Leehan to get in. "Last chance to back out."

Leehan scoffed, sliding in. "Not a chance."

With a smirk, Taesan slipped into the driver's seat and turned the key, the engine rumbling to life. They sped off into the night, the city shrinking behind them.

As they reached the outskirts, the first hints of dawn painted the sky in soft pinks and oranges. Leehan rested his head against the window, glancing over at Taesan. "Where to?"

Taesan grinned, squeezing his hand. "Anywhere but here."

The highway stretched endlessly before them, the dim glow of the dashboard casting soft shadows across their faces. Taesan drummed his fingers against the steering wheel, glancing at Leehan, who had his feet propped up on the seat, his hoodie pulled over his head.

"You tired?" Taesan asked.

Leehan peeked at him from under his hood. "Not really. Just... thinking."

"About?"

Leehan bit his lip, hesitant. "What if we actually make it? Find somewhere nice, settle down, just us?"

Taesan's grip on the wheel tightened. "Then we make it work. We build something new."

Leehan nodded, exhaling softly. "That sounds nice."

Silence filled the space between them, comfortable and full of possibilities. The open road stretched ahead, leading them towards a future unknown, but one they were willing to chase together.

Taesan reached over, lacing their fingers together once more. "We've got this."

Leehan squeezed back, a smile tugging at his lips. "Yeah, we do."

And with that, they drove forward, into a new dawn, into a life they were finally ready to call their own.
