Chapter 37

It's been months. It's been months since the last day I've seen Calistine. It seems like she just disappeared. None of her family lets me see her and it's killing me to know that she was just next to me and now, I can't even get near her. 

It's been months since the last time I went outside, I have always stayed in our room. It was the closest thing that I can reminisce my moments with Calistine, How we stayed in this room. How we shared nights, how we made love, and even her first time biting me. 

Gosh, I miss her. I wanna go to their kingdom but my body is just too weak. I can barely move my feet. 

"Levan, someone has sent you something." I heard Devon's voice from outside my door. Is it from Calistine? Thinking of that excites me.

I opened my door and I saw a black box. I lift it up and brought it inside my room. I quickly opened it and a jar of blood was inside of it. 

It felt different, it has been months since I've drank blood. I refuse any blood that doesn't come from my love. 

I opened the jar and the smell of the blood is a familiar scent. 

'It was from her.'

I quickly took a sip straight from the jar. 

'It is from her.'

I took every last bit of her blood. It was sweet and it couldn't be compared to any other type of blood. I miss her so much. 

I got up and quickly went outside. I need to see her. I cannot take another day without seeing her. I need her. 

"To Crovenia." I instructed coachman. 

I banged to the castle's gate looking for the woman of my life. I need to see her.

"Cali! Please, talk to me!" I shouted. "Baby, kausapin mo'ko!" 

It took me a long to hear hear footsteps towards the gate, a figure of a man showed up, it was her father. I bowed my head to show respect.

"Rex, magandang araw po. I want to see your daughter please." I've kneel down to show him my sincerity. I wanna show him that I love his  daughter and I'll do everything to be with her.

"I'm afraid you're too late." I looked at him confused.  "Matagal ng wala dito si Calistine. She left." He said. I couldn't believe what he said. How? How could she leave?

"How is that possible? She just sent me her blood. That can't be possible!" Napasigaw na ako dahil pakiramdam ko ay tinatago nila sa'kin ang aking kapareha. Litaw din sa mukha nito ang pagkagulat dahil sa aking sinabi. 

"Come in and see for yourself." Gulat man ay dali-dali akong pumasok sa kanilang kaharian. Halos kasing laki lamang ito ng Romanov, ito ay isa sa dalawang pinakamalalaking kaharian. 

Isa-isa kong tinignan ang bawat silid habang ang kanyang ama ay nakaabang at nakaalalay lamang sa akin. 

"Narito ang silid ng aking anak." Aniya at iniabot ng isa sa kanilang mga kasamahan ang susi. "Hindi namin ito binibuksan dahil gusto naming bigyan ng privacy si Calistine. Matagal na itong hindi nalilinisan." Dagdag niya habang abala ako sa pagbukas ng pinto. 

Pagbukas ko ay tumambad ang kanyang silid na pinamamahayan na ng alikabok, narito rin sa sahig ang mga nagkalat na sulat mula sa'kin. Pinulot ko ito isa-isa, ang lahat ng ito ay hindi nabuksan. May mga alikabok na rin ang mga ito. Unti-unting pumatak ang aking mga luha. Totoo ngang wala na rito ang aking pinakamamahal.

"Nasaan siya?" Tanong ko habang patuloy ang paghikbi.

"Matagal na siyang wala sa mundong ito.  Bumalik na siya sa kanyang ina." Pagkasabi niya ay agad ako umalis patungo sa mundo ng mga tao. 

Hahanapin kita, Calistine. Hinahanap ka ng puso ko. 

Dala-dala ang bawat luha sa paglisan ang aking mahal ay tinungo ko ang lagusan patungo sa mundo ng mga tao. Iniluwa ako nito sa isang pamilyar na gubat na hindi nalalayo sa kinaroroonan ni Calistine. Ang lugar kung saan ko siya unang nakita. Ang lugar kung saan ko nasilayan ang kanyang mukha sa unang pagkakataon.

Pagkarating ko sa harap ng kanilang tahanan ay nakakandado ang mga gate nito kaya naman ginamit ko ang aking kapangyarihan upang makapasok dito. Pumasok ako sa kanilang sala, tahimik ito ngunit narito parin ang kanilang mga kagamitan.

Inilibot ko ang aking mata sa buong paligid, naalala ko ang mga pagkakataong pinagmamasdan ko pa lamang siya sa loob ng tahanang ito. Umakyat ako patungo sa kanyang silid, binuksan ko ito. Gano'n parin ang ayos ng kanyang silid, tila ba walang nagbago dito. Pati ang aking nilagay na pangalan ay narito parin, tila ba ayaw niyang alisin. 

Napalingon ako sa sahig, may mga buhok na nakakalat dito. Marahil ay ginupit niya ang kanyang mahabang buhok bago lisanin ang tahanang ito. Pinulot ko ang ilang bahagi ng buhok na 'yon at inamoy ito. 

'Her scent is still there.'

"Where are you, baby? You're killing me right now." I sat on her bed. I remember watching her sleep here before, She always look so peaceful when she's asleep.

Why are you hurting me so bad, Calistine? I miss you so much but I don't know where to find you. I wanna be with you again, baby. Please, let me see you. 

It's killing me knowing that I cannot see her face anymore. I don't where she is. She has left me already and I don't even know where to find her. Maybe she realized that she didn't wanna be in my world anymore? Maybe that's why she left Crovenia to be with her mom. Maybe I shouldn't pest her anymore. Maybe that's why she left me and my world. She might've felt that she didn't belong in my world.

With a heavy heart, I walked towards the front door, my heart will always be for Calistine only. I don't know if I'm gonna be able to see her again but she will always be the love of my life. She will always be my mate.
