Crimson Eyes

Chapter 42

Ventura's Kingdom is one of the kingdoms I often visit. This kingdom has a snow season and I tend to have a vacation here whenever the season comes. I was actually hoping to bring my mate here one day. I guess it will never happen. 

It's Autumn now. It's windy and the weather is cool. Trees are dry as well. In a few months, Winter will come and I don't know if I'll be visiting this kingdom. As of now, I don't even know what to do with my life anymore. The woman I waited for so long doesn't love me anymore. I don't know what to think. Vampire's love should be eternal but given the fact that she was born and raised in the human world, I think her feelings can change even if we're mated to each other. 

"You're the intruder guy!" My heart almost dropped because of this kid. He was the same kid I've met in the forest in the Border of Romanov-Crovenia territory. 

"You look really cute. How are you?" I smiled. He looked at me then frowned.

"What do you mean cute? I'm the most handsome in this world." He said with his pouty lips. I chuckled. This kid is really silly. Well, he is really handsome. His hair is styled, he's wearing a red tuxedo. With a black bow on it. He knows how to style.

"Great style." I said complementing the way he look.

"Red is my favorite." He answered. What a coincidence. Red is also my favorite. 

"Really? Red is my favorite too." I smiled and pinched his cheek.

"Yael, let's go. Mom is waiting for you." A familiar voice came. It's Maverick Sulvinia. He gently grabbed his hand.

"Bye, intruder." The kid waved his hands as they walk away from me. I waved my hand back and gave him a smile.

"See you around, Yael." I said. He really has a cute name or I'm just saying that because it's the same as my second name? 

Hours had passed and I've decided to go down to meet people from other kingdom. I am actually avoiding that Aria. She's getting on my nerves. First, she kept on clinging onto me and second, she just stole a kiss from me without my consent. She's like obsessed.

I greeted familiar people from other kingdom. I saw Sandra, the Allardes who gifted us a horse.

"How are you and Calistine?" She said after I gave her a kiss. That question stunned me. I didn't know how to answer. Good thing her mom came and called her. I dodged a bullet right there.

As I was walking, I saw Calistine with a beautiful lilac dress. She is talking to that Sulvinia again and it's pissing me off. She looked worried. I was about to look away when I saw her looked at me. Her eyes are full of worries. To my surprise, she walked towards me. I don't know what to feel.

"Lev..." She took my hand and guided me as we walk. Her voice is full of worries. "We need to talk." She added. 

"W-What? I thought you didn't wanna talk to me anymore, baby." I asked. I am really confused right now. Few days ago, she didn't want me to talk to her. 

She didn't answer. Instead, she brought me to her room. 

"It's about Yael." She started. I was still confused but that name seemed familiar to me. 

"What? I don't understand, baby." I said.

"It's about your son." I was too stunned to speak. What does she mean 'son'? We have a son?

"S-Son?" Still confused, I asked her. "W-We have a... son?" I'm shocked. Yael? Yael is my son? That silly kid?

"Yes. We have a son, Levan." She took a deep breath. "Yael. His name is Yael. I didn't know I was pregnant when I left your palace." She explained. Tears began to fall from her eyes. "He's missing. I don't know where he is." Her voice is full of fear. I didn't know how to feel. I have a son and now he's missing. "I told him to wait for me outside the restroom, he's gone when I came back." She began sobbing. She's panicking. 

"We have a son?" I asked in disbelief. I went to her and hugged her. "I'm sorry, baby. We're gonna look for him, okay?" I cupped her face and gave her kiss. I just felt like kissing her would calm her. 

"Please, help me." She's still crying. "I'm so sorry, I'm a bad mom." I rubbed her back trying to call her down. 

I held her hand as we both walked towards the door to look for our son. My  mind is full of question and I couldn't think right but one thing I know is that we need to look for him. We checked every room but there was no signs of him. We went downstairs and asked everyone if they saw a kid but they didn't. We went outside the palace, that Sulvinia is also looking for him. The weather outside is a lot cooler, I'm worried that he might catch a cold. We went to every possible place he could be but there was also no signs of him. We checked every restroom but there was no Yael. 

"Do they have any garden here, Lev? He loves gardens because of me." She said while her eyes are busy looking around for him.

"Oh yeah, they do." I answered and guided her while our hands are still intertwined. The garden is at the back of the castle, it would take a few minutes walk to reach it. 

After three minutes of walking, we've reached the entrance of the garden. It's almost dark and I'm really worried.

"Yael, anak?" She called. We entered the garden and we heard little footsteps. "Oh my gosh, thank God you're here, anak." She sighed. She's catching her breath.

"Why are you holding my mother's hand, intruder?" He asked. His hand is full of flowers he hand picked. "He is the intruder I was telling you, Mommy." He said while he's pointing at me. 

I smiled then tears began to fall from my eyes. I didn't know what to feel. I didn't know how to react. All I know is I'm looking at the most precious thing ever, my son.
