Chapter 28 the revival the secrets of the book of immortality.
As the ship soared through the sky, the crew's conversation was interrupted by an alarm blaring through the speakers. Tony's eyes snapped to the control panel, his voice laced with urgency. "We're running low on fuel! We need to refuel, and fast!"
Mida's brow furrowed in concern. "What about our backup fuel?"
Tony shook his head emphatically. "It's reserved for combat. We can't waste it now."
Lily chimed in, her voice calm and collected. "What about Starfall City? They should have the fuel we need."
Sage Lysandra's eyes sparkled with a hint of wisdom. "Perhaps we should visit the Mystic Forest instead. My son is likely worried about my absence, and they may have the fuel we need."
Abisai's eyes narrowed in concern. "Master, are you sure? I mean, the elves aren't exactly kind to outsiders, remember."
Sage Lysandra's expression turned serene. "Yes, but do not forget that I am still the Sage, and I'm pretty sure they would not deny their Sage in a time of need. Besides, they already know you and your sister, Lily."
Mida's voice turned sharp. "You said you have the middle half of the Book of Prophecy. Is that correct?"
Sage Lysandra nodded, her eyes clouding with a hint of sorrow. "Yes, that's correct. But I explained to you before, I couldn't just give you the book, even if I wanted to."
Mida's expression turned stubborn. "And like I said before, that book doesn't belong to you elves in the first place."
Lily interrupted the argument, her voice firm but gentle. "I said it before, and I'll say it again: finding it ourselves isn't going to solve anything. We need to work together if we're going to succeed."
Tony threw up his hands in exasperation. "Can anyone make up their minds? Where are we going to go? The more we stay in the air, the more fuel we're going to lose."
Abisai's voice turned decisive. "I guess the Mystic Forest is our best bet for now. We can get the fuel we need, and then head to Starfall City to see my mother, Catherine, and retrieve more fuel."
Tony's expression turned annoyed. "Oh, joy. I can hardly wait."
As they arrived at the Mystic Forest, the ship vanished into the camouflage, hiding it from any potential trackers. Tony's eyes scanned the area, his voice low and cautious. "Okay, I'm reading multiple movements in this area. We need to be careful."
Sage Lysandra's eyes sparkled with a hint of amusement. "Do you need to rely on technology, my child?"
Tony's expression turned defensive. "I've been with technology all my life, ever since I was a kid. I mean, I didn't really learn much about the outside world, only what we saw on television or on the screen. So I decided to learn how to be an engineer and a tech expert. Technology is what I know."
Sage Lysandra's expression turned gentle. "I understand, Tony. But sometimes, it's good to trust in other ways of knowing. The forest has its own secrets and wisdom. Let us listen to its whispers."
Here is the rewritten chapter:
As they reached the edge of the Mystic Forest, a group of elves emerged from the trees, their eyes fixed intently on the newcomers. Abisai's hand instinctively went to the hilt of his sword, ready for any sign of hostility.
But before tensions could escalate, a familiar young half-elf emerged from the shadows. "Halt!" he commanded in the elven tongue, his eyes narrowing as he took in the sight of Tony and Mida.
