chapter 43 the true Awakening part 2

As Abisai stepped into the Water Temple, a soft glow from the walls bathed his face in pale blue light. The air was cool and heavy with the scent of aquatic blossoms, and every step on the polished stone floor echoed with a melodic splash. Carvings of ancient sea creatures and flowing currents shimmered with enchantment, their symbols pulsing like a heartbeat.

He paused at a tranquil pool nestled in the center of the room. Drawn by thirst and instinct, he knelt beside it, cupped his hands, and drank. Instantly, a refreshing surge of energy coursed through his veins, reinvigorating his senses. The moment lingered-serene, almost sacred.

Then, a voice stirred the silence.

"Who dares drink from my sacred waters without my blessing?"

He turned sharply. A woman stepped forward from the temple's shifting shadows, regal and fluid as the tide. Her hair cascaded like the sea, changing hues from sapphire to aquamarine. Her eyes were deep and ancient, containing the wisdom of the oceans and the storm of judgment.

"I am Abisai," he said, rising slowly. "And I seek the Ocean Crystal."

The woman's gaze narrowed, flicking to the Elemental Matrix embedded in his sword. "You've already taken the Earth Crystal, haven't you?"

"I defeated Terran. I had no choice." He tightened his grip on the hilt. "I need all nine Elemental Crystals to activate the full potential of the Elemental Matrix. I'm trapped between worlds-this coma state. Only by gathering all of them can I return to the real world and stop what's coming."

"And what, pray tell, is coming?"

He met her eyes, his voice hard with conviction. "The Emperor of Calamity. He's awakening. Without the Matrix-and your power-I won't stand a chance against him. I have to get back. My friends are out there, fighting to hold the line. I need your Crystal to finish what we started."

But Oceana's expression didn't soften. "You expect me to simply hand over the core of my power because you say it's noble?"

"No," Abisai said, straightening. "I'll earn it."

Her eyes glimmered. "Good. Then let's see if you're worthy."

She raised her hand

She raised her hand. The water symbols on the temple walls began to glow brighter, summoning waves that swirled around her. A blast of seawater spiraled upward, forming a ring of dancing liquid fire-Waterfire, a fusion of vapor and flame, unique to her.

"You'll drown in my tide, Abisai," she warned. "The ocean doesn't forgive."

Abisai ignited his armor in blazing flame, his aura bursting outward like a wildfire resisting a flood. "Then I'll be the fire that boils the sea."

With a cry, he launched forward, swinging his flame-imbued sword. "Atomic Inferno!" Fireballs erupted from his gauntlets, illuminating the temple in searing orange light.
