Chapter 36 Haven knights last stand The empire strikes

Ryker made his way towards the Emperor's throne room, his heart pounding with anticipation. He had finally reached the moment of truth, the moment when he would take the Emperor's life.

As he entered the throne room, Ryker was met with a sight that made his blood run cold. The Emperor, Tellez, was slumbering, surrounded by a halo of dark energy. Coral, the Haven Knight, was suspended in a stasis capsule, her eyes frozen in a permanent stare.

Ryker's gaze narrowed as he approached Tellez. He knew that he had to be careful, that the Emperor's powers were not to be underestimated.

Suddenly, the demontrons surrounding the throne room sprang to life, alerting Tellez to Ryker's presence. But Ryker was ready, using his unique attacks to disable the demontrons and clear a path to the Emperor.

Tellez's eyes snapped open, his gaze locking onto Ryker. "Why are you here, Ryker?" he asked, his voice dripping with malice. "Why have you come to disturb my slumber?"

Ryker's eyes glared with determination. "Isn't it obvious?" he spat. "I've come to take your life, my Emperor."

Tellez's expression remained calm, but a hint of amusement danced in his eyes. "I take it you're one of the surviving Perdolians," he said. "One of the missing Haven Knights, Red Eye Scorpio."

Ryker's gaze never wavered. "Your reputation precedes you, Tellez. I know very well who you are."

Tellez's expression turned serious. "You came all this way just to take my life? You're such a fool, Ryker. You know that even if you take my life, my successor will lead my empire and finish what I started. And I will be reborn once again as the Emperor of Calamity, taking over my successor's mind and soul."

Sirius, who had been watching from the shadows, stepped forward, his eyes blazing with fury. "That won't happen, Tellez," he growled, his voice dripping with venom. "As long as I'm around, I'll make sure that your empire is destroyed, and your successor is never given the chance to rise."

With a swift motion, Sirius unleashed a wave of flames from his shuriken, engulfing Tellez's body. "I'll finish your little game, Tellez," Sirius spat. "And I'll incinerate your twisted soul!"

Tellez's body began to disintegrate, his eyes wide with shock. "You're...too late," he gasped. "My powers have already been transferred...as we speak..."

But before Tellez could say more, Sirius struck, plunging his ninja sword into the Emperor's heart. "I already told you, Tellez," Sirius said, his voice cold and detached. "Your end is near."

But just as Sirius thought he had emerged victorious, a voice echoed from the shadows, "Wrong, traitor."

Sirius turned to face the speaker, his eyes narrowing as he saw Infinite, one of the Emperors of Calamity, standing before him, his Gemini Blade of Epyon at the ready.

"It's time to put an end to your treachery, Sirius," Infinite sneered, his eyes blazing with fury. "You're no match for me. I'll show you the true meaning of power!"

The two warriors clashed, their blades flashing in the dim light of the throne room. Infinite sneered at Sirius, his voice dripping with contempt. "I see you've chosen your path, traitor. Not only have you shown your true intentions, but you've also betrayed the Emperor's trust. Now, you will suffer the consequences of your actions."

Sirius summoned one of his double shuriken from his hands and threw it at Infinite, who dodged it with ease. "Is that the best you can do?" Infinite taunted.

Sirius's response was a fierce cry: "No, this is Beastly Howl!" A massive shockwave interrupted Infinite's attack, disrupting his nervous system.

Sirius took advantage of the opening, striking Infinite with a series of swift kicks and punches. "I like to stay and chat, but I have a mission to complete. By ending this war," Sirius said, as he turned to make his escape.
