Chapter 50 - The Ultimate Outcome
Meanwhile, deep within Starfall City, in an unknown obsidian-walled throne room...
The chamber glowed with the baleful light of a massive black seal floating above a molten dais. Chains of flame coiled endlessly around it, radiating heat so intense that the air shimmered.
Infinite knelt before it, his hands outstretched, his breath ragged. Each attempt to touch the seal sent searing pain ripping through his mind, the flames clawing at his will.
For the seventh time, he collapsed, smoke curling from his gauntlets.
Embryo: (concerned, but hiding it) "Your Majesty... if you persist, the seal will consume you. Even your body will not endure forever."
Infinite: (glaring up at the roaring flames) "No... I must make that wish. Without it, everything I've fought for-everything I've sacrificed-will be meaningless. Tell me, Embryo... Abisai, the so-called Knight of Orion... how did he awaken new powers? How did he achieve it?"
Embryo's eyes flashed. A holographic screen shimmered to life, replaying their last encounter.
---
Angel: (snarling in the memory) "Recovered or not, Infinite's dark magic should've left you shattered!"
Abisai ignored him. He lifted his sword toward the heavens, the ground trembling beneath his feet.
Abisai: "Elemental Matrix-EARTH!"
A shockwave erupted. Crystalline green armor enveloped him, reshaping into the storied form of Toro, the First Earth Knight of legend.
Angel: (staggering back) "An... evolved Armor Link?! That's impossible!"
Abisai's reply was not words, but devastation.
Abisai: "Titanic Supernova Slash!"
His blade cleaved the air, and the ground split apart, a radiant fissure swallowing half of Angel's forces in a single blinding instant.
The remaining Knights-Tony, Sirius, Ashley, and Mida-shielded their eyes from the blast.
Amelia: (charging twin cosmic pistols) "He's not done yet."
In a fluid rotation of power, Abisai unleashed the Elemental Matrix's other forms:
Air - Aeloria, wind forming scythe-blades around him.
Fire - Pyrion, twin flame sabers burning hotter than the sun.
Water - Oceana, armor flowing like the tide, every strike a crashing wave.
Light - Lumen Virgo, a holy blaze that blinded foes before their fall.
Shadow - Umbra Wolf, swift, unseen, every attack a ghost's whisper.
Cosmos - Aetheria, stardust swirling like a galaxy in motion.
Lightning - Nexarion, his strikes faster than thought, thunder splitting the sky.
With each form, more enemies crumbled before him.
---
The footage froze.
Infinite's eyes narrowed.
Infinite: "Stop there. If Tellez's memories are correct, those warriors were the legendary Heroes of Haven... the ones who gave him the elemental crystals, forming his Elemental Matrix." (a slow, malicious grin) "If he could inherit the gifts of the past... then I will forge my own. A dark Elemental Matrix-one drawn from the most destructive beings in history."
