Chapter 37: Preparing for Battle

Tony's fingers flew across the console, setting up the base's defense mechanisms. Shields, weapons, and surveillance systems all sprang online, ready to repel the empire's forces.

Meanwhile, Sage Lysandra teleported back and forth between the base and the ship, gathering the materials Tony needed to connect the hibernation cryostasis machinery to Nova.

Abisai approached Tony, his eyes locked on the console. "How long do we have before the empire reaches the base?"

Tony's response was laced with urgency. "With all the defenses I've set up, maybe 24 hours or less. We need to move fast."

Abisai turned to Ashley and Mida. "Check the monitors and see what the empire is carrying. We need to know what we're up against."

Mida nodded, her eyes already scanning the screens. "Got it."

Ashley's voice was steady. "Roger that."

Amelia stepped forward, her eyes shining with determination. "Please, I can help. I want to learn."

Austria's expression turned firm. "No, Amelia. You're not ready. You barely know the basics of Mass magic, let alone how to protect yourself. You need to learn how to use countering spells and healing spells before you can join the fight."

Abisai's voice cut through the conversation, his eyes scanning the room. "We don't have time to waste. We need to evacuate now."

As the group prepared to leave, Abisai turned to Austria, his eyes locked on the armor link of Aurora. "You sure you can fight? It's been a while."

Austria's response was laced with confidence. "With all due respect, Abisai, I may look young or old, but I have a lot of fighting experience. Even as a queen."

Outside the base, Embryo observed the area, her eyes scanning the shields. "It seems the base is protected by a reflective shield made entirely of plasma."

Infinite's voice was laced with frustration. "Can we get through?"

Embryo's response was cautious. "I'm not sure. The plasma shield is highly advanced. We'll need to find a way to disable it before we can breach the base."

As the group continued to prepare for battle, Alexander's voice rang out, his eyes gleaming with intensity. "I say let's burn it to the ground. We can't let them hide behind that shield forever."

Allen, as Hydra, shook his head, his voice laced with warning. "No, you idiots. You'll be vaporized by the plasma shield. We need a more strategic approach."

Angel, the Griffin, sneered, his eyes fixed on the base. "It doesn't matter what we plan. All we know is that our prey is inside that base, and I, as the Executioner, demand some satisfaction."

As he spoke, he grasped his scythe tightly, the blade glinting in the light.

Infinite's voice cut through the conversation, his eyes fixed on the base. "Then send a Dematron. Find a way to disable the plasma barrier, and then we will retrieve what is mine."

The scene shifted back to the base, where the group was evacuating in a flurry of activity. Mida and Ashley burst in, their faces set with determination.

Abisai turned to them, his eyes locked on theirs. "So, what do we got?"

Mida took a deep breath, launching into a detailed explanation of what they had discovered. "We've got a mix of imperial troops and mechs, all equipped with advanced weaponry. They've also got a Dematron on the way, which means they're planning to disable our plasma shield."
