Chapter 4: A Weird Alliance - A Perdolian and a Human
The six escape pods hurtled like shooting stars through the planet's upper atmosphere, their protective hulls glowing from the friction of reentry. Inside one of them, Austria's mind raced.
Why here? she wondered, peering through the viewport. The land stretching below was hauntingly familiar-verdant forests teeming with vibrant bioluminescent flora, jagged mountains etched into the horizon like ancient monuments, and oceans that shimmered withaces of stardust. Tony tapped a sleek, palm-sized device clipped to his wrist. Its holo-interface flickered to life, displaying a planetary map with pulsing beacon trails. "This transmitter is synched to the core matrix of Nova's cryo chamber and Kaisan's Star Blade energy signature. If either is active, I'll find it."
Austria raised a brow. "Let's keep this discreet. We don't know who or what rules this world. Broadcasting energy signals might attract more than family."
