-and slammed back into his body as the neural interface disengaged. The world snapped into focus with a violent jolt, the medical bay lights blinding after the darkness of the dream.
Tony was already at the console, hands flying.
"Whoa-easy!" Tony said sharply. "That was a close one."
Abisai ripped the neural bands from his temples and stumbled off the platform.
"You idiot," he snapped, panic breaking through his control. "Do you have any idea what you've just done?!"
Tony turned, stunned. "Hey-slow down. What are you talking about?"
Abisai grabbed his jacket.
"You have to tell me there's a way to keep her asleep-just a little longer. Please."

Tony froze.
"Hold on," he said carefully. "Calm down. What did she tell you? Why are you acting like this?"
Before Abisai could answer-
BEEP.
A sharp, irregular pulse echoed from the cryostasis chamber.
Sirius looked up instantly. "What's happening?"
Tony spun back to the monitors, eyes widening.
"It's Nova's pod," he said. "Her neural activity just spiked-she's waking up."
Austria's face drained of color.
"Oh no..."
Amelia blinked, confused. "Wait-what do you mean oh no? Isn't that a good thing?"
Ashley nodded. "Yeah. That's Abisai's mom. Isn't waking up good?"
Austria opened her mouth-
But Mida spoke first, her voice quiet and steady.
"She's going to lose her memory."
The room went dead silent.
Amelia turned sharply. "What do you mean she'll lose her memory? Why would that happen?"
Austria stepped forward, her expression heavy with guilt and sorrow.
"Because Nova sacrificed her physical existence to anchor herself to the Cosmic Force," Austria said softly. "The process saved countless lives... but it damaged her cerebral pathways."
She looked at the stasis pod-at the woman inside.
"Cryostasis was the only way to keep her alive without further degradation," Austria continued. "But if she awakens fully..."
Her voice faltered.
"She will not remember her husband. Her sons. Any of us."
